Well, all in all I am over that. What would a little kid rather have? a playable stupid looking electric squirrel or a tyranitar? Probably a Tyraintar. I see nothing wrong with making said kid happy

Here you go

I think that counts.

Now I need to look up exploitation.

Grassmaster's definition just seems to be so much different, I want his. :p

It's amazing to me what shameful things people are willing to reveal about themselves on a public forum.

I hope a lot of people who know grassmaster in real life read this thread. That might lead to a few severed business COUGH EXPLOITATION COUGH opportunities.

So what... You have my screenname.. Its not like I go around telling people that I have a pokegym account.... And it's not like I tell people my name when trading either.

I guess anonymity is a great tool for a shameless rip-off artist to have.

At the very least, all of the people who have seen this thread know to avoid you on the Gym. Do you realize that you have effectively painted yourself as slime in this thread? I guess it doesn't matter what an entire community thinks of you, though, when you're nestled safely behind a silly screen name and a Dragonite avatar. Confessing on the internet is safer than confessing to a counselor or a priest, right?!?

You'd also be surprised how easily people can figure out your identity just from a screenname, a few posts and the basic biographical information in your profile (such as that you live in Indiana and are in high school).

Not really getting into the whole debate, but considering he has not only more trades than you on here, but they're all at 100% as well, I'd say he's just as reputable if not more than you are on here; certainly I'd more more apt to trade with someone with more reviews than just a few like yourself. What he does at league or wherever he does his other trading has no merit on here really...

And yeah, I'd seriously like to see you track down someone based off a few non-variables like living in Indiana and in HS; unless you're going to outright hack the guy and try tracing him to a more general location, you're not figuring anything out really based off vague things; heck, how do you even know if his profile info is correct for starters?

Do you realize that I have over 100 refs on beach under a different screen name? I come on gym to trade looking for collectibles. I am trading with knowledgeable people for the most part. To top that off, if someone has a gym account, then they are already on a computer. They could go over to trollandtoad or ebay and look at card values. Going into a room alone with a priest is the last thing I want to do.

I would like to see you find me at nationals. And even if you do, you can't do anything

I fully agree I see a differnece between trading online and trading in person, online everybody has a dozen or so places they can look at prices and no reason not to. But were not talking online were talking in person and if ripping off kids that don't know values is acceptable or not.

GrassMaster: I'm going to share some wisdom with you. First off if you do anything on the internet you leave a paper trail and its not horribly hard to follow. I remember several stories when the internet first started to get popular where people sent death threats to the President because they thought they were "safe" behind a computer. It only took a few hours before FBI agents were knocking at their doors. I know plenty of Computer Science Undergrads that know full well how to run an IP Trace along with a half dozen other ways to find you.

Second don't poke the bear "you can't do anything" is a down right stupid thing to say to anyone expecially someone you don't know. Because honestly there is nothing stopping him from doing what he wants. The law is reactive a majority of the time not proactive and I've seen fist fights starter over stupider stuff and majority of the time it because somebody decided to say something stupid and provoke somebody else and than seemed shocked and upset when they get a response.

Ugh. Butting in for the loss.

You completely missed the point about turning off the people on the Gym who read this thread. You think people are going to be clamoring to do business with an admitted kid cheater, particularly parents (and there have been several of those in this thread)? And who said anything about me actively tracking anyone down? I said it is easier to do than you think, and it is.

You like dealing with someone who openly admits to ripping off kids in real life and thinking nothing of it? Go ahead and support slimy behavior then if you so desire; it's on your conscience, not mine. "Reputable" on the Gym means little in this dialogue. The only way you can get legitimate bad refs on the Gym is to do something wrong after a trade has been agreed to, such as send damaged goods or not send at all. If he agreed with someone on a trade, how would they be able to give him bad feedback on a value rip off that they realized later on? It isn't as if most of the kids being ripped off in real life are going to be leaving "bad refs" via complaints to people they know; the main issue here is that those kids don't even know they're being preyed on.

And to grassmaster, I don't care how many refs you have on the net or why you come to the Gym. The fact is that you not only admit to scamming kids in real life, you repeatedly defend your behavior and essentially imply you'll continue to do it. If you really can't see how your actions are wrong, then your conscience is in a sad state.

And for the record, I have no interest in being anywhere near grassmaster at Nationals or anywhere else. Go ahead and keep your name a secret; if I knew I was paired against you, I would have a hard time keeping the vomit reflex under control.

If they cared enough, then they would know values. They could go into a store and see what they are selling them for. So don't say they don't have resources. Trollin toad and CC are both going to be there

Maybe if they read this thread and how you react to it, and how you admit to ripping them off, maybe they'll know to avoid people like you at Nationals. A vendor isn't the greatest person to get actual knowledge about the game, there going to give them straight up values and what they buy cards for. Teaching them trading wise needs to be done by a actual player that isn't someone like yourself.

Describe people like me.. I blend into the crowd just fine. It's not like you can look at someone and just say "hey, that guy looks like a ripper"

This has nothing to do with online trading, that's almost a totally different subject. It is still trading, but I'm not going to get into all that, because I know how trades are done online other then person to person its different and I wouldn't think kids would be on the internet trading cards, giving out there address without parent supervision...

A description is hard to make out, but you admitted to ripping people off, I'm sure you'll be in the corner some where at Nationals trying to swindle people, all it takes is a parent that has some knowledge to notice what your doing and probably stop it, then you have people around that hear/see, word of mouth can travel quick.

I look to trade A LOT, but I'll always make sure the trades fair, if not me giving the better end, not getting. On the other hand you'll probably try to get over on who ever your trading, I'm sure you'll get trades done easily, but then again you won't also. Then you'll have the girl/guy that says, "hey, that guy over their can't trade for crap" "He wants all this for just that" You'd be surprised how many people wouldn't want to trade with you after all that.

I have done just fine at all of my other tournaments this year. I know what I am doing. I know how to offer, and I know what I can and can't get for a card. I know that I can't get a prime for a holo from most kids, but I can trade a bad prime for a decent holo. A kid is going to see that as a great trade in his eyes. And I can tell who I need to make good deals for and who I can get good deals from. Amount of cards, how the store them.. There are many things that give away how I need to approch a trade. I trade alot to. I don't sit in a corner. I make my way around the event easily.
