SO let me get it right, Ballard started this thread because people were being rude that he wouldn't share his list.

SO what does he do, he goes on eBay and lists it.

He is doing the ultimate in netdecking by posting on eBay.​

I see it the opposite way, he wrote a post about whiners who bashed him for not sharing his list then, to have a little fun and to see how far people would go, he put it on eBay.

This is truly poetic - Poe has nothing on him.

dld4a - I am having fun, and I think I will have fun for about a week or 3-4 for only $25. At least when happens what I expect to happen.

That's funny. I hadn't noticed that myself. "Respect the Music! Don't Pirate!" has been a part of my sig for some time now.

After Jimmy's auction is over I'll discuss it with him and think it over.

I think what Jimmy is doing is actually pretty creative and I agree with his original subject. If you look back at my previous post on this subject, I looked at Jimmy's original thread and concluded that the issue is ultimately poeple violating the Spirit of the Game by showing disrespect and poor sportsmanship for BASHING some one. Jimmy agreed.

Right now there is this other thread started by Martin (no comparision to Jimmy) that ultimately leads to the same conclusions. People on boards can be rude and insulting, not creative and positive.

It is amazing how people hide behind "Monitor Muscle".

BTW, in the picture on eBay, that's me with my arms crossed in the upper left corner wearing the yellow volunteer shirt. It was fun watching Jimmy when I had a chance.

Tagrineth, If the Mods thought that this was not appropriate, I would suspect that they would have contacted Jimmy and understood his intentions then decided what to do.

All taken in the proper context, it really isn't a joke but a statement.

A pretty ingenious one if you ask me.

They locked the other thread. Draw your own conclusion.
 
It's very simple, it's not allowed to put up links to your own/friends auctions.
And because the thread was about an auction, it's locked and the link removed.


And about netdecking? Well it has good and bad sides.
You can learn a lot from looking at decklists, but you will not learn much if you copy a list and don't even think about why/how it's build that way.

Tagrinth...Lets get something staight.... I do not play to earn YOUR respect. Frankly, I could care less. I play this game to be the BEST at what I do.... BUILD format breaking decks. If I happen to make some cash off it SO WHAT??? If you thought of something worth while (not nessecarily pokemon) and were able to market it to a group that is in need of your services, I would not lose respect for you. Think about it.:frown: Where does it say I cant profit off my own ideas???

On a slightly better note.... Pokedaddy is exactly right.... I am looking to make a point with this auction. WHY post a list that will just be copied and not gain ANYTHING for my efforts??? I believe everyone is just mad at me for actually being the first to capitolize off something like this. It will not be the last list sold for sure. People understand the need to have a PROVEN deck going into a tournament. That is the service I am providing to them.

This is just my answer to netdecking....

I figure people pay for the worlds decks and get good lists....why not beat them to the punch??

oohh snap he's so right. Destiny is an SD...and if you are willing to pay for it just to win,go nuts. or go off whats been posted and build from there- add your own techs and cards and see what happens. If youre buying this decklist (not to ruin your business Jimmy lol), then you may as well bribe your way to the top of every tournament.

Tag: note on respect- how does selling a decklist lose him respect? honestly, it shows the lengths of how some people are willing to go because they cant be original or play something else. As far as im concerned, he has a heap of respect- coming second at worlds with Eeveelutions, coming second at worlds...period. Actually being a good sport, and I can back this up, as after the match he signed my cards for me lol- so, Tag, don't start bringing respect for a player who is original into a thread about netdecking.
