I was in the 11-14 group last year. Which I came first in by the way! Taking down some of Californias scrubs in the process. If your such the hot shot come on down to Nevada and I'll show you who the scrub is. Hey duuuuuu I never recall myself complaining about California coming down here. I welcomed the bye.
Martin I'm just giving the facts about ranking. It's also not my problem if your deaf and haven't heard about us Nevada players. 8 man tourneys? Compared to 60? listen I'm not going to go into a war wih you.

I officially make a challenge: If the 15+ up age group in Nevada falls to California, you can terrorize us, tell us were scrubs, and I promise we'll take it on the chin and say yep the Cali. players are better than us.
If the 15+ trophy stays in Nevada though, California has to give us the respect we deserve and no longer look down on us as weakling underdogs. And you guys have to let us gloat because there will be gloating, alot of it.
This sounds fair. So Cali players do we have a deal?
 
Well, i have to put my 2 cents in. Oregon is new and improved, the old oregon was a push over. And yes, levi is the reason we used to lose to washington...but we'll see what happens. now this can die, and i apologise for wolf, lol

If you wanna bet me that, I'll come there, if I beat this person... you pay for my plane ticket and then what ever else we bet... If I can get there I will so do it... IF he makes it to worlds, I'll take the bet there, I could use some money.

Ohio IS the best state, Nevada... that's like not even a state (yes I know it is) but it might as well NOT be. I do not know of anyone there that's good. Argue with the bullcrap ratings all you want... but those mean nothing.
 
John, I think the Palumbos are relatively good; ez espacially is a cool guy. However, there are just some TERRIBLY scrubby people from Nevada it's not even funny. =/

What happens in someone not from Cali or Nevada wins your state champ, tho? ^_^

I'll toast to that. The Palumbos are good some of the best I think. Someone other than Cali. or Nevada though you ask? Intresting... I'll tell you all what, we'll do bets with people that come. I'll have to agree with you also, there are terribly scruby people in Nevada (aka Team Nevada), but some of us are good.
Young John in accordance with best players I'd say Cali beats Ohio in that department. That's a mighty big wager me paying for your plane ticket. Say if you lost though. I have no interest in any other tournament out of state other than worlds this year, and that's in Cali. so I'll be driving down there.
 
Being one of the best Cali has to offer I must say that Nevada is headed for whitewater.( and i dont mean wisconsin) Nevada states is goin to be world all over again except Cali is going to be the japanese and sweep all three divisions.

If I recal my history right, a Californian only won the 15+ age group at the Nevada State Championships last year so maybe you guys should stop thinking so high and mighty of yourselves :rolleyes: .

the only reason we didnt take all three age group because no one from cali show up for the other two group. We can talk trash all we want because we can back it up. Just ask the Arizona ppl.

Actually, that's not entirely true....my daughter did play in the 11-14 age group but she was sick with strep throat. She didn't tell me until after the tournament and it turns out she was playing with a 103 degree fever.

I don't know if we'll be making it this year but I hope so!!

PS: Before you said anything about Team La Rock. I'm actually from Team LA. So don't even try to talk trash about it. Team La Rock is just alittle inside joke for us.

Normally I would refrain from posting with such a pointless thread, but someone at our league gave me a dollar to post. All of us in AZ would appreciate if Nevada AND California would leave us out of your stupid dispute. To all of the Nevada players here is a tip:

DON'T let the Cali players out of your sight. The main reason they took our state is because they locked themselves in the D&D room where nobody could here them figuring out what matches they were going to throw/ID.

Just a fair warning.

Now back to your flame war already in progress.

As far as the Arizona comments go...there are no more IDs so that won't be an issue.

I always enjoy playing against great players. California has some of the best in the world.
So does Ohio. I know levi and the getty's as well as several other washington/oregon
players are among the top.

I always consider it a challenge and an honor to get a chance to play some of
the best. Last year I had alot of fun playing against the california gang and
really enjoyed meeting them....i found them to be great players and great guys....

hopefully nevada will get a large turnout of good players for this years state
championship and that there will be many great matches....

i hope that everyone has a great time and good luck to all..............

Go Godzilla!!! Team LA will lose just like any other out of state team coming here. Don't worry I don't make jokes about jokes, so Team LA has nothing to worry about.
