Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

NW Regional Championships: Salem OR, November 12-13, 2011 (TCG AND VG)

Pokemon Dream World Giveaway

For those of you who love Pokemon black and White on DS, we're throwing one more giveaway into the mix. If you participate in the DS or card game tournament on Saturday you'll be allowed to obtain a special Dream World Pokemon. Interesting Pokemon that'll make great addition to any DS team like a Carvanha with Speed Boost. Come see Team Rocket to obtain one of four Dream World Pokemon on Saturday Nov. 12th. (while supplies last).

Request for time off work - Denied.

I hate that, sometimes I forget how lucky I am to work somewhere where they allow for some flexibility in my schedule. Even though I work graveyard, if I get the request in more than a month ahead of time, I always get the time off. :)

I cannot wait for this event much longer...I might just blow up like Breon before we get there. It's gonna be so amazing!! My players have been training like crazy leading up to this event, SO EXICITED!

Quit that lame job Rob! Any place that is not sensitive to your Pokemon needs is not worth working at, and besides, paychecks are overrated.

Maybe next time. Sorry we won't be seeing you out here in Oregon.

BDS

I would quit being the pricing coordinator for Toys'R'Us - but the job is not complicated and the pay is very nice. The request for time off work was denied because Christmas is coming up and apparently NOBODY except for regional directors are allowed time off.

Oh well - I will see you all in Hawaii regardless.

I'm assuming in the affirmative, but I am being asked if there are card-related side events being run Day 2 for non-VG folks.

ABSOLUTELY!!! The first day the side events will run heavily on the VG side of the house since the TCG main event will be going on for TCG players. That switches on the second day as the VGC kicks off. The TCG folks will take over side events, with many trading card activities going on, the center piece of which will be a BIG Noble Victories booster draft tournament which starts at 10:00 AM on Sunday. Of course there will be open League play both days, where players earn very cool stuff just for playing casual games. Other activities on Sunday will be small pick-up tournaments and whatever else the side event crew can dream up to keep all those TCG players busy. An action packed two days no matter what your preferred game of choice is - VG or TCG!!!
