Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Oregon State Championship - March 4, 2006

Six days left...

Will whats-his-name be there, selling cards and stuff like at the LM pre? (I need some last-minute cards for my decks, so I'd like an answer. )

I hope to see you all there!

Although I cannot be there, this will be the first tournament of the Official Pokemon TCG Washington-Oregon Battle For Northwest Superiority Not Sanctioned By Nintendo (OPTWOBFNSNSBN). As the director of the OPTWOBFNSNSBN, I will now announce the official rules for this year.

-Each eligible event age group will count as one point which will be awarded to either Washington or Oregon. Three age divisions at states for example will result in 3 points up for grabs.
-The winner of the point will be defined as the winner of the championship round. (In case there are concessions due to prizes like not being able to use the states money.) If no championship round is played for such reasons and it would have been between Washington and Oregon, each state is awarded .5 points. The director will be the judge of such occurences if there is controversy and the director's decision may in extreme circumstances be challenged under guidelines established during the 2003 Vancover Convention.
-Only Washington and Oregon players are in this competition. If a player of another state or country wins an OPTWOBFNSNSBN event, the OPTWOBFNSNSBN point will be given to 2nd place if he/she is from Washington or Oregon. If both the top two places are not taken by Washington or Oregon players it will come down to 3rd and then 4th. If there was no 3rd place game and the two players elminated in top 4 were from Washington and Oregon, each state will receive .5 points. Any similar issues not specifically listed are up to the interpretation of the OPTWOBFNSNSBN director who should use the listed rules as a guideline.
-The events that will award points for the OPTWOBFNSNSBN 2006 tournament season are the following:
Oregon State Championship
Washington State Championship
Northwest Regionals
All Gym Challenges located within the boundaries of Washington and Oregon.
(REMEMBER: Each age group in each event counts as 1 point so 3 points per event assuming 3 different age groups. An age group must have 4 people to count for an OPTWOBFNSNSBN point.)
-At the end of these events a winner will be declared.
-The Director may change these rules as he/she sees fit for the upcoming year. Participants of the OPTWOBFNSNSBN are encouraged to bring suggestions of changes and questions to the Director.

In 2005 under the same scoring system (though not under the name of the OPTWOBFNSNSBN) Washington was victorious though I don't know the final score. I know Washington won 5/6 State points, at least 2/3 Regionals points, and at least 4/9 GC points. Perhaps more as I don't know remember some of the younger divisions.
I will be displaying the current score in the OPTWOBFNSNSBN during the upcoming tournament season in my signature.

WOW, I'm so glad points pass down this year. I was planning on a boycott of the events if the OPTWOBFNSNSBN didn't get their act together!

if there is a tie for points then each state gets to nominate one person from each age group. and then they will draft a box of the newest set. then the teams will play off and the winner wins the opidupythingermerbobthatrosssaidsoyah.

no it should be a 2 out of 3 match from a player of each age group not draft but draft does take skill i have to admit that.

In the unlikely event of a tie, the director has the final say on a proper tiebreaker but may take suggestions.

ya with having henry in 10- and world champ in 11-14 and two of the best in 15+ (ross and Levi) i don't think there will be a tie

In the event of a tie, the highest placing player in Worlds that is from Washington or Oregon will be the "tie-breaker point."

Points pass down, so if someone from Idaho comes and wins... Wait, how could someone from Idaho beat all the good players we have between our two states?

Alright, I've officially confused myself...

LOL. You obviously haven't been studying the competition down here.

PS. Please learn how to capitalize. Why is Levi capitalized, but Ross and Henry are not?

Uhm well this is APT using Tati's account that she never uses... Anyways, lets give the [Flaming_Spinach] guy a break he's new and he is not a great player either. So we'll let him discover the WA/OR "competition" first. He'll get used to it.

If I adopt Elissa she WILL be an official Washington member. Btw, who all is going and who is staying overnight? Also, Ross back off my girl if she wants to be a member she WILL be.

I'm just getting curious as to what random, ineffective tech oregon players are going to come up with to beat the so called top deck.

It didn't work for shawn last year, why should it now?
