lol, someone wasn't listening quite close enough at my opening statements at the Ashland CC. :smile:

I'll be posting up a nice thread around the Prerelease Date, but I guess I can post it for this!

Astral Games is offering a sweet little deal on the new Platinum cards! For just $90, they will
be selling a full, 36 booster box of Platinum boosters, and for anyone who guys the whole box, they
will also recieve a 4 pocket Platinum Portfolio, to keep all those shiny new cards in! For more information
Call Astral Games at (541) 776-7888. If you want to have them ship it to you from far way, they
may be willing to work something out! I can pretty much guarenty it is the best deal you will get from
any SHOP.

And as far as I know, they will be getting them on the release date. I know that personally, I can get
the box for about $80 online, but I wouldn't be able to get my hands on the cards till about 2 weeks
after the release date, due to the stocking/shipping problem. However, with this deal, I'll be getting them
Right around Release time! (Not to mention that I'll be helping the local business, and having the extra
portfolio to show off! :smile:

I need 2 uxie, and 2-3 fossil excator.

Sorry just curious is Jason a 3rdOregon PTO or is this someone elses Prerelease thst he is running for them?

It's actually my event, however due to scheduling conflicts Jason has offered to run the event for me. It hard, even for a Snorlax, to be in two places at the same time. :biggrin:

I really wish i could go to more than one event.
But the draft will help and I plan to get a box before states.
At least I get to go to one!

I'm just some guy. :smile: Who is a little too crazy about Pokemon! I've been organizing events down
here in Southern Oregon for about a year now, it's a REALLY long trip for that poor Snorlax to make,
and I am more than happy to get things going down here. Though they all seem to like Mr. Raichu more
than me. :frown: He's just too much of a great guy. :mad:

and thanks to nanette aka clints mom aka ilikegengar, i will be bringing my dad to eugene pre's because he has never been in one so we each get 2 extra packs!
and it will be fun!
and i won't be going to salem pre's because it will be easer for us to not drive there.

I know Guardian is busy , but I wish I could at least go to more events. (5 events , but 3 on all the same day...)

I always wanted to go there , but it's just such a long drive.
I could see if my dad can take me to your house around 5 am...

We have 5 events in Oregon now, which is 2 more than we had a year ago. Adding 2 new locations is a HUGE deal. Prereleases must be spaced out much more than something like a Battle Road or City Championship. We can't just add as many as we want. Each one must be approved by PUI and they don't add new ones very often. In general, they have to be one to two hours apart (driving distance).

We started with Portland and Salem many years ago. After Corvallis and Eugene got their Leagues going we asked for another Prerelease down south. It had to be in Eugene though because Corvallis was too close to Salem. Then last summer we hit 102 players in Portland and PUI asked if we could start a second event there to break the crowd up a bit. About 70 is ideal for a Prerelease. At the same time OP was gearing up in Southern Oregon so we got permission to try one down there.

As to having 3 on 1 day, we wouldn't normally do that but we had scheduling problems this time. Hope this helps explain the thinking behind the schedule and location of our prerelease events.

lol the winter-hawks suuuuck, i been to about 5-6 of their games and they lost each one.. it was pretty close against a good team though, there like 12-30 in records right now.
