PLATINUM Prerelease - OREGON Locations (Updated 1/13/09)

Prerelease was so fun.
Thank you June for running the Draft.
I pulled in my 6th packs for 3rd place and got a shaymin land forme X.
Now I got both forme Xs and both forme rares.
I need will collect all shaymins.
With the possibility of eugune (No draft , sorry june) and a box.
That leaves me with 8 for Eugune PR , and 36 packs for the box.
Thats 44 packs , and I got 20 today.
That's 64 packs! 640 cards! Wow!
I'll be one lucky guy.

well, i got most things i needed for decks, now all i need is 2 cyrus's conspiracy and a dialga G (non-lv.x...) and then 1 of some cards (commons and a rare) and i'll be set! see everyone at eugene!
 
Platinum pre-release Portland, OR --Loki's

Wow! what a day at Loki's!

I posted photos in the gallery. See them here. I would have taken more but the crowd was a bit difficult to maneuver. . . .

I met some new players, some college students that play, some new parents! Loki was a great sport, offering us customer- appreciation- day prices! Thankfully it was a nice day, no rain and above freezing temperatures. I skipped out at lunch and saw a new bird to add to my Oregon list so I'm very happy. Those of you who chose not to go to the Winter Hawks hockey game, well, umm, next time. The Hawks lost 0-5, but we had fun cheering them on.

As always, BDS and Mr. Raichu and Momma_June ran a fine show, squeezing in 108 players into Lokis. They could have turned down players, put a cap on the play, but NO! just open the extra doors to satisfy the fire marshall and we're playing Pokemon in OR-EE-GON! Yes! I was part of the record-breaking crowd!

I want to thank everyone involved for making my FIRST pre-release a great experience. The number of players was incredible. Pulled some pretty good cards... Delcatty, Zangoose and Dialga rare allowed me to go 2-0 before I had to go (yeah, I was bummed). The tourney was filled with nice people and good-natured players willing to help out others.

Thanks again to Loki's and all of the organizers!

No really, I'm totally blown away by all the FUN yesterday. Still having trouble putting a full sentence together!!!! Thanks to all for unbeatable SoTG & literal flexibility :tongue:

PRA would never have allowed the MicroSD roms, as they are so easy to hack and wouldnt leave a trace like a AR. I would be amazed if we did.

i talked to a person about it (his name was chris, apparently the person who runs the side events)
he said that it would be ok for us to use them.
 
I suspect it was Chris Clanton. (Mr.Raichu)
I won't bet you can use Flash carts.
Ask Travis , he's the man that would really know.
 
A great weekend ahead of us. Hope to see some of you at all the Pre's planned for you on Saturday. Remember Salem on Sunday. Truly a Pokemon Party weekend!!!! :thumb:
