I changed school last year and i really didn't want to tell the people that i played.
Some people saw my Pokemon stuff at home, and asked if i played.
Honestly, i didn't want to be called a geek already, so i just told them that i sold it, and made some pretty good money on it. They were like, "k, cool".
They did buy that for a some months, but then we (me and 3 of my friends) were out eating in the city, and a man from league came and talked to me. I just said "hi", and he got his food. He has a brain damage, and for some reason, they were sure i knew him from playing Pokemon.
So then we got back to the subject. They asked if I played, and i just said "yeah". They weren't sure if i was telling the truth, but still they were like, "k".
Long time after that, my girlfriend broke up with me, after a fight, 1 of my frinds moved to a school where you live (dunno what's it's called in english), and then my huge social life sort of stopped. Sure, i still have some friends, Pokemon buddies etc. but i like to be home more now.
I like gadgets (iPod, cool cellphone, expensive clothes etc.), and it kinda covers for the Pokemon thing. However, i wear Boss, Lacoste etc, and they don't, so it's not like i'm wearing what they're wearing. Of course i do wear some of the popular clothes, but i wear what i like. Not what they like.
I do also get the good grades, is the better one to about everything in school, i'm good at sports.
Some people do have some sour grapes about that, but still, when i help them, (and the opposite sometimes), we're ok friends. The girls like me friend-wise, so that's cool too.
Sometimes they start talking about Pokemon in school, and then the subject leads to me. I don't really care anymore, but neither do they.
So after all, it did and up in happiness. (in school)
