Pokemon Video Game Championship Series - World Championship Discussion

Wow.

My friend made it in Seniors, but lost R1 due to Parahax.

Seniors went into the high 500's. (i think 580's) i MADE IT! but i lost R1. i was confused due to Outrage and KO'd my self before i could get the final KO. i was so mad the game was decided by the confusion. but it was still fun! Juniors went into the 300's!

Knowing my luck I would have missed.

burdn what were you running?

i'm going to be signing this petition even though i do in fact hate that site. now i'm going to be uspet if i make the drive saturday morning (leaving at 2am) and not get picked

pfft. Its their tournament, their rules. They haven't done any official tournaments in forever and the second they do people find a way to complain.People don't just don't realize how much work it would be to not have some sort of cutoff limit.

its not the cut off limit that frustrates people, well a lil, but its mainly how they set it up. they made it so people drive several hours to find out they didnt make it instead of doing an on line registration where people four to five hours or farther away from a tournament know that they arent going to make it in before hand so they dont waste a day or two driving

i don't know how they gave the numbers out, but mukman said he got there at 7.30am and was in the 300's and if they were random that just bad luck, but if he was the 300's person i would have been screwed. i was set to drive 5 hours to get there by 8.00am, so i would have time to mess around before registration actually began.

hopefully next year will be bigger since in 2005 it was at 20 some cities and had tremendous turnouts for jaa. last year it was in two cities, and this year about 6. so hopefully next year there is at least 10 to give people a more fair shot to get in without wasting time or so or at least make it so they will accommodate everyone

Well I tried to enter but did not make it.
I played around in the League for awhile and had some fun.
I am kinda ticked to find the Pokemon Games the vendor was sellng was bootlegs.
Also I got the Lucario Doll for my underground base.
I wish I could have gotten another Shiny Milotic

Yeah what happen was i got there at 7:30.. i stood in line and as you register they give you numbers that are based on the national pokedex so i was the 353 person then the basicaal just pick from theos numbers at random... i remember the top 10 was like

1,2,3,4,7,9,13....so that means outta the first 10 people to register4 people didnt get in and to be the 5th and 6th person in line and to not get in means he was in line extra early...and couldn't play

at leaste in the grinder if you are in line before the cut off you get to play

Ya the JAA way was better.
Test the peoples know of the game to let them in.
My friend made it in and faced a Lv.50 EEVEE.
Now that is cool, but the good people are not getting in.
Not saying not any didn't get in, but the random factor is sad.
Give a test online and have a time slot to take it.
Make the score and be before the time cut or limit and get in.
I liked that way.

The tournament won't be taken seriously until they make it bigger and make it open to all, and not to a handful of people that show up.

Handful of people? There are well over 200 people I think at each of the Regionals so far, far more than the pitiful number of people they let in at 128. So I dunno how much more "seriously" players are supposed to be, or how much more need to show up.
