Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon Video Game Championship Series - World Championship Discussion

Has anyone posted a Juniors and Seniors finals video somewhere? I missed most of Juniors, but Seniors was amazing.

people still got away with using their hacks because the little anti-cheating device only checked for legit evs/ivs and correct movesets. i think its complete bs

tell that to several people who where DQ'd durring the regionals. They where hack checked, their pokemon where within legal paramiters (252 evs, random iv's, legal attacks) and where DQ'd becouse there was trash data that the hack check picked up on. Several people on other pokemon fan sites report that they had used "Legal" hacks in their terms and where DQ'd.

the only reason those people were probably dq was because they didn't know their secret id code, or whatever it is that you have to use to make them look real

If they had used an online qualification test it might have helped. I think they kind of went by what happened last year and went a bit too far in the opposite direction.

Last year most of the people that qualified online never showed up, which was the case in LA (I was there as part of the staff). They ended up taking a lot of the people that were there for the random drawing to fill the 128 slots. If I remember right, they took all of the Juniors there and a good portion of the Seniors (I believe that the SR's weren't even a full 128). I don't know how NY was though, since LA was the first week (and kind of the test subject for the whole idea lol).

I am sure they will take a look at how it worked this year compared to last year and work for some kind of balance. Even more so now that Mike is running things for them.

in my viewings of posts from different forums i kept seeing trainer id and secret id when people where tryign to get hackers pokemon for them, or trying to get a hacker to find out for them. so i started to do some research about it, well because i'm a curious person.

wiki says
The secret ID is comprised of 5 undisplayed digits of your trainer ID (meaning the ID is 10 digits long) and is presumably meant as an anti-cheating measure. However, it's been discovered and is an important piece of data to figure out in order to use certain cheating methods.

only people who are experienced with AR, or know how to work youtube and google can find out or know about it

I know what the SID is. But your post does not make any sense! You COULD attempt typing with better grammar and spelling because I can't understand what you're trying to say.

there is one spelling mistake in my post thank you. next time i will make sure i type trying correctly. my post weren't orientated towards you. and all the people i showed the post to didn't have a probably understanding it. they just didn't understand what secret id's where

Neither system is perfect. The major problem is that he amount of hardware needed to run the events is massive. Hopefully they can work out a solution to increase the number of events they can hold.

Thanks Yoshi! i was wondering if anybody had Juniors videos.

Now if they want to increase the amount, they do not NEED to have the computer set-ups.

I can think of several solutions to the whole "Random 128 play" deal.

1-Increase the amount of tournaments. Make them State championships size, or even city championships size. Making it "Players responsibility" to bring a DS and game to play on. A TCG Player has to bring a deck, deck list,damage/status counters. Why not have a VG player bring their DS, Game, and Team List. And all that TPCi would have to send is the Hack-check device and prize support.

2-Remove the player cap. Period. this has to be the #1 complaint. If they make the DS, game, and Team list player responsibility and pair them using TOM and swiss rounds, they would not need the computer set-ups. or at least not until finals at the regionals/nationals/worlds.

doing both of these would, at least in my mind, make the VGC series more successful.

I actually thought of the idea of creating a device that would use DS download play to create a custom app for use in the tournament for each player (the device would also store a copy of the app in case someone turned off their DS and lost the app.
