Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Power Keepers Details - Now with Pictures!!

I said GOOD decks, as in consistantly winning tournaments.

Listing of city wins thus far:

12 Metanite
7 Boom
6 Flygon ex d
6 raieggs
4 Scizor ex
3 mewtric
3 Flariados
2 Gardevoir d ex variants
2 Lunarock
2 Metagross/Salamance

List of GOOD decks:

1. Bandoom
2. Flygon Ex D
3. Delta
4. Metanite
5. Flariados
6. Sallygross
7. Gator/Queen
8. Mewtric

8 good decks, 2 more than teh 6 i said i coudl name. Sorry for missing 2. O, plus gatr/queen has yet to actually WIN, so i guess you COULD make it 7, but i'll give it the benefit of teh doubt because its placing high consistantly.

I mean any deck that uses Queen in more than a 2-1-2 line and uses Delta Pokemon as a backup. I'm using a Queen/Delta deck myself right now, and it's quite good, at least in my area...

VERY off-topic, but... How do you actually say that? Like a question? I've never heard of that phrase, and it sounds pretty gramatically wrong.

And on-topic: New Blaziken art > Old Blaziken art:thumb:

It's more of an exclamation. Like " I did it, I'm better than you"
The E4 basically invented it, so...

I agree with the art thing, Blaze is so much Better Now. (Is it holo?)

Bandoom, ftw. Does it.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

1. Bandoom
2. Flygon Ex D
3. Delta
4. Metanite
5. Flariados
6. Sallygross
7. Kingler D
8. Gator/Queen
9. Mewtric
10. Mercury
11. Banette Ex + techs
12. Meganium/Steelix
13. Meganuim/others
14. Flygon Ex D/ Eeveelutions

Then some that I have missed. Some are getting to be quite popular like Kinger D and Gator/Queen.

I think a reason for this is the Rankings. People are hesitant to experiment with new decks. So they play what wins, hence the lack for new decks. I wasn't around his time last year so but I don't think rankings were as big as they are this year.

You didn't do anything. I said that stage 1 decks don't count LAWLAWL =\

Uh, Paul J. and I won with Gatr/Queen, it also just won Modesto, CA (all 15+). I think it won somewhere else too.

That couldn't be further from the truth. New decks that are GOOD win, because they are unexpected. History has said that those with secret decks that are unveiled at tournaments win, assuming they are good players/good decks. Just because something doesn't win everywhere doesn't mean it's not good either. There are decks on the bottom of the CC wins that are better than some of the top, for sure.

Really? They haven't said anything about these cards over there? Wow... This will make Worlds a VERY interesting event...

I don't know how a Power Keepers thread turned into a discussion on this, but I'd like to voice my opinion.

I disagree. Look at what is winning the majority of cities. MetaNite, Banette, MewTric, and RaiEggs. All four decks were made last format. There are some new decks winning like Flygon ex, but the majority is older decks. People are going to run what they think is going to win, and if they are debating between an old deck that they know will do well and a new deck that they don't know about, of course they are going to choose the old deck.

Even though I said that I didn't think it would happen, the format is becoming more and more concrete as we speak. People want to win so badly that they are sticking to the basic decks more so than other newer decks. If this ratings thing wasn't being used this format, the results might be different, but expect to see a very stale format for the rest of the season.

Well, not me. You beat good players by surprising them. You play an everyday deck it's just going to come down to matchups/luck.

Agreed....

Thats how I was able to take Eeveelutions to the top at worlds. People tend to dismiss any deck that is not easily recogniized.

Keep looking for new things, If you build it...It is Rogue!!!

I feel drawn to Absol ex.
However, when can I get the new cards in Japan...

Absol ex seems to be the card designer's big gift to all you Banette ex lovers ... ;) Try asking PCL for info at the next event you see them! They probably won't be able to tell anything yet, but it's worth a try, right?
