Well we're at opposites. I got another box today and pulled both a normal Lugia Ex and a FA Lugia Ex. So I now have 3 Lugia Ex. By the looks of things, I'm pretty lucky.

Well we're at opposites. I got another box today and pulled both a normal Lugia Ex and a FA Lugia Ex. So I now have 3 Lugia Ex. By the looks of things, I'm pretty lucky.
I can verify this. The best retail price is $150. Single packs are at the lowest, $4.90, retail anywhere from $6.95 to $7.95 at places like KMart and Target.
Other places have it $180.
The best one is Shin Tokyo in Rundle Mall, Adelaide, South Australia.
Of course you can't beat online. The norm is at release is $150, then it drops to $130 a couple weeks later.
Most people will buy retail, since most are parents. Some are ignorant of the internet. Even less would think about importing from the US.
Needless to say importing from the US is the cheapest, with boxes being $105 including shipping (if you get more than 3).
I've crunched the numbers and those $130 box sellers on eBay are actually barely making a profit. If I assume they get boxes from the US as well, at $105 per box, or $100 if buying in bulk, add in import fees (for consignments over $1,000 AUD - around 20% of customs value), eBay+PayPal fees, Postage ($10 for 3 kg flat rate bag - boxes weigh approx 750 grams), I doubt they're even making $3 per box. Unless they can get it straight from Pokemon Company themselves then they can get boxes quite a bit cheaper. Even then margins won't get better than 10-14%.
Retail stores will have better profit margins at $150 and no postage costs, no ebay/PayPal costs, but instead have overhead such as rent, wages and taxes.
Most people are still unaware that prices are much cheaper outside of Australia, so they continue to pay it. You can see this in software, PC hardware, Game consoles, games, Steam, electronics such as TVs, Monitors, smartphones, etc. Until they do, prices will stay the same.
Why is lugia ex so wanted? o-o
I got all 3 in mine. Random Receiver, Charizard and Blastoise. I was really surprised.

Went to Target on my lunch hour and purchased a pack. When I opened it to my surprise there were 2 code cards!! Went back to purchase 2 more to see if this store received a glitch of booster packs and unfortunately that wasnt the case. But did get Plasmaklang in pne of the other Boosters.

Opened three boxes, no Full Arts at all! Though the general spread of ultra rares was fair. (One box had as many as 7 I think.)
What do the stamped numbers in the inside cover mean? I thought it was a unique ID per box, but these three boxes have the same number.

First 2 boxes (5 URs each):
7x EXs (Lugia, Cobalion, Zapdos, Moltres, 2x Victinis)
3x ACE SPECS (1 of each)
0x FA EXs
0x FA Supporter
0 SRs
8x Lazers (2x RHs)
The last box:
1x EXs (Moltres I think)
2x ACE SPECs (DM and SS)
2x FA EXs (Lugia and Cobalion)
0x FA Supporter
1x SR (Charizard)

The first 2 boxes didn't get average 6 URs. The 3rd box definitely a good one. Out of all 3 boxes, 0x FA Colress, 0x RH good stuff (Plasma Energy, Colress, Colress Machine).

i think that number refers to the case. so your 3 boxes all came from the same case (of 6 booster boxes).

Dude out of 3 boxes you go 2 Lugia EX ( 1 Full Art), Cobalion Full Art, 2 DM, and 2 SS, and only 1 Victory Piece which is good, 11 Lazers including 2 RH, and SR Charizard. Why complain if you didn't get any good RH stuff? You can easily trade for playsets of all of those with your pulls.

I'm not complaining...I was just disappointed at the time of opening 2 boxes and with the lack of RH goodness and pulling 0 FAs. I've been pretty fortunate this set. We are fortunate to have enough Lugias for 1 deck. By the way...that deck can get stupid real fast. I built mine front-loaded....Colress Machine, Ether/Pokedex, Dark Patch, Energy Switch. Haha.

So far, I've gotten Articuno EX and Moltres EX from just buying 6 packs. I'm not into buying boxes. This kid who also goes to my league buys the same amount of packs and pulls Lugia EX, Shiny Blastoise, Dowsing Machine, and Victini EX FA in that order.
So I'd say (barring prereleases), every six packs have a high likelihood of hiding an EX. At least in my area.
P.S. I traded Articuno for Cobalion EX.

I can believe it. There was a Walmart that I would go to that seemed to have a higher likelyhood of containing FA's and the SR Pikachu in Black and White last year. I swear everytime I would get a few packs, I would find one of those.
I had once gotten 4 packs there and pulled 3 FA Zekroms.

Also opened half a box and got Shiny Charizard, Cobalion EX, Klingklang holo, and Scramble Switch. Some of my favorite holos in terms of artwork: Crobat, Lucario, Togekiss. And some nice reverses: Gallade, Crobat, Manaphy, Ether, Colress Mashine, Colress, Escape rope.
So at this point I don't even care that I only got Holo Weezing and White Kyurem EX out of 23 packs on TCGO xD
