It's too bad Megan won't be there because of the AP bio test you're giving her, can't you just give her a 6 and be done with it? :lol:
 
I'm not giving the test--this is THE AP exam that comes from the college board.. :eek: umm, and they are scored 1-5....

It looks like I'll be at Warrenton and Fairfax-1st flight, for VA PRs.

Edit 1: Wow....this is my 2nd post EVAR....

Edit 2: i may just be blind, but is there a schedule for the VA Battle Roads yet?

I don't know why I get insanely hyped about BRs MORE than CCs, Regionals, and States... what's up with that ?

Must be the Anti-rating mechanism within... :rolleyes:

Fun stuff in this amazing set--I was really happy with what I've pulled so far!!!! Both main event and TDC will be a "go" for Warrenton and Midlo.
 
Took me long enough, but yes, I will be coming to Warrenton, along with one of my League players. Will I get two lv. X's in my six packs again? We shall see...

Quick reminder for Fairfax--
On the OP Site, "start time" will be taken to mean just that. Flight 1 packs will be distributed as close to noon as possible. Please don't show up at 11:58 and expect some "down" time before packs are distributed. You should be in the store by 11:15 for flight 1!!

Please be sure to get yourself preregistered BEFORE this Friday or Shadow Card will confiscate your Flygon Lvl X cards.....

Hmmm, is RR going to have a light turnout in Fairfax or has ShadowCard's internet sign up method baffled too many parents??? For the record, it's so easy to use a caveman could do it........(or a wooper, and they don't have hands)

In any event, I'll be there Saturday even if it's just me and a lot of cards!!!! Lots and lots of cards..... :lol:
 
Been to TWO (2) out of 2 PreReleases so far and I've got to tell everyone something.

They have been SO laid back and chill.

Some of the pulls were outrageous. I saw Ghetto Overloard pull TWO (2) Gallade LvX and the little boy behind him pull TWO (2) Luxray LvXs !! (that's CRAZY!)

This is an opportuntiy to play the new cards that you may not deck, but you MAY discover of clever little techs/secret weapons for your BRs deck (Turtwig GL .. um... surpise Kechleon??)

If they go you out of the grind in the prerelease tourney, they may be worth a cute splash-in tech for BRs.

Anyway...

THE COOL THING I'VE NOTICED...

There have been a good number of NEW people that are coming in for the first time to get a feel for things.
(I belive almost HALF of the Midlo crowd were first timers and 5 of those were in MASTERS!!)

At Warrenton, I spoke with, at least, 7 people that were doing this for the first time and I made sure I really talked up BRs so they'd keep coming back ("It's FREE and you just need to bring a deck and play.. that's it!!")

So, our community is growing. In order to grow, we need to retain those that we already have, so GET IN THE MIX and let's see your smiling faces (except Johnny, he frighten's small children when he smiles . . . :biggrin: ).

It's important that we give these new folks a warm welcome.

By the way, did anyone ELSE notice how nice the PreRelease sleeves are this time in terms of QUALITY? They kinda stepped it up a bit eh?

I see no Battle Roads thread up yet... and given that's my FAVORITE season... he gets the super frowny. :frown::mad::frown: with energy attached -- :colorless:colorless:psychic:

Time has been extended to preregister for the Fairfax event *yay!*. You now have until 11pm on Friday, May 15 to preregister.

RA, if it gives you an idea of where totoro's mind is, a true story from the back end of the tournament operations:

me: could I get the flyers for the BR?
totoro: sure *attaches link titled PL2_deck"
me: um, you sent me the deck registration for the prerelease. I asked for the BR flyers. :tongue:
totoro: I'll remember this...

It's the little things that make this so fun :lol:
