Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no problem dude. oh btw, i used this deck today a bit more with switches and no techs and it actually played much faster. i took out the elm's and made the communication line 4, then i took out one smeargle, a collector, and a PONT and put 4 switches in. it works great now, and it's still got amazing recovery and pretty solid consistency. you should test it out and see how it works for you, meanwhile i'll put up the newly revised list on the original thread.

Cool!!!! That's great. It sounds better now.

yeah, it seems to have better consistency now because i can just bench my smeargle most of the time once it's done it's job. the opponent almost always gets off to an early lead while i set up, but once i set up this deck seems pretty much untouchable. i added a tech section to the original post though, and i might add a match-ups section soon if i can play enough games with the new popular hgss decks like ramboar and zekrom donk. you can give me feedback too if you want to help out. just use this list against as many of the new popular decks as you can and tell me how the matchs went. :thumb:

Alright!I had to take it apart because I all ran too many proxies in my 4 decks, and it was getting annoying, but if I get some more Smeargle and Pokemon Collector, I'll build it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, i hate proxys too, trust me. there is actually a way to run the deck pretty consistently without the use of noctowl though, believe it or not. i tried it in a few games today with my brother-in-law and it ran well. i took out the 2-2 noctowl line and used the extra spots to add another twins, collector, elm's, and an extra croconaw and it works fine. feel free to try it out and see how it works for you.

Alright cool!! I hope you find a list that lives up to your expectations!!

i think i've finally come up with a deck-list that i really like actually. it's come a long way, but i've done some extensive play-testing with it and so far it's the quickest build i can come up with, while still maintaining the amazing recovery and consistency. after much testing, i've decided to fore go the noctowl line altogether, as i found that a lot of the time i spend too much time setting up. one less card to evolve speeds up the overall set-up and allows me to start taking prizes 1-2 turns earlier on average against most of the new decks in the HGSS-on format. the only deck i absolutely CAN NOT beat is zekrom donk. because i decided not to tech anything to combat it, it's pretty much an autoloss. although, there's really no point teching against it anyways because nothing i do seems to swing that match in my favor at all. anyhow, i will post my results with a few of the likely new HGSS-archetype decks in my Original Thread's Match-Up Section.

I have been waiting to build this deck yet I am short two Samurotts atm so if one of you is willing to test an idea for me that would be great. I was going to try the deck with Electrode instead of Gator and seeing how that did with the ability to use Twins and Black Belt so easily. Have either of you considered this or tried it already?

Hmm, that is an interesting idea and one i had not thought of... I would definitely like to try it and see how it works. the only inherent problem i could see would be possibly discarding cards you need when you use energymite, but it still sounds plausible on paper. unfortunately i don't have the electrodes to test it, but if i come across anyone at league that has some i will try and acquire them to test this idea of yours. keep me posted as well if you can try it your self and tell me how it worked out, if at all. :thumb:

Hopefully I will get two more this Friday so I can start messing with the deck and ideas.

if you were to use electrode i would use twins to compensate the knockout with 2 cards of your choice. at least 2 would be good i think, but again i can't test the idea so it's just a thought. the thing i like most about this idea is the fact that with a stage 1 to set up samurott, you could free up some spaces to tech in a counter to zekrom possibly. you could also use the free spaces to make the Trainer/Supporter line even more consistent. keep me posted if you get those electrodes so i can see how it works out for you.

Yeah.. I don't think Emboar stands up to all of the hype. I could beat it with a Serperior Tank Deck. Actually, Serperior Tank's not that bad. Once it is set up, it heals any non lethal damage. I am curious to try that against this. Also, does this deck really need 4 Smeargle? I don't know...

Was the Emboar deck playing Reshiram and also the 150 attack Emboar? There is no way Serperior beats that deck. Emobar/Reshiram ohko everything in Serperior.

On to the Gatr/Samurott deck... Have you given COL Relicanth a try? For 1 Lost Zoned card you can draw 3 cards to start the first couple turns.

i haven't, but i have however tried farfetch'd recently and it actually works pretty well. it has a similar concept in that it's able to draw 2 cards with no drawbacks, and if you have a fear of being KO'd spin turn will safely retreat him back to the bench while simultaneously doing a small amount of damage. i still prefer smeargle or manaphy as a lead, but it's something i might post in the tech section.

My plan with him is to try and compensate with Twins and Back Belt. If I had both in hand if I knew I was getting the knock out either way I would Twins for whatever. If I knew Samurott was going to get knocked out I would just put all the energies I don't need for the KO and attach them to my other Samurott and Black Belt for the KO. All in theory of course that was just my thinking for it. It seems to me, imho, that this would be a faster build than the feraligator route. Edit: It just hit me as well you could use Bouffalant if you run the Black Belts for a revenge KO as well as far as my if you know Samurott is going to be knocked out scenario. Toss up Bouf, Black Belt, profit.

yeah, bouffalant would be a great revenge killer. that's why he's in my techs section. :D
oh, and i got 3 electrode primes at league today, so i'll try him out tonight a little bit against my brother-in-law if i can and see how it does.

Well I tried the Electrodes a bit, not as big a fan of them as I thought I would be.
Yeah, I still prefer Gatr as a means of energy acceleration. He's slower, but far more consistent. Electrode's power has too many negative effects. He gets KO'd, AND you have to discard. Not exactly consistent... It was an interesting idea though.
