SE WI FR/LG Prerelease NOW 8/28!

I'd rather play a modified tournament because we haven't played unlimited in a long time. Everyone already has modified decks that they play at league. Have fun at worlds Broken Lizard!
 
Well, since I have really only heard from league members, I'll take a final vote on the side event format tomorrow at league and post the final decision here.

If you want Treeckos, it'll have to be TCG, and really should be sanctioned.
 
By a 1-vote margin from the absentee ballot, the winner is MODIFIED!

Thus, we will have a sanctioned Modified Format Tourney to follow the prerelease.

that's a Modified tourney without the use of FR/LG cards that have not been released in previous sets (aka, POR exception), correct?
 
It's a 2 hour drive for me and my parents are worried about traffic.

So, looks like I won't be able to make. I should definetely make it to the Manitowac one though--should see a lot of you there!

Like I do for most tourneys, I put together a list from my knowledge of who will be attending. This should be pretty accurate.

Brookfield on the 28th:

Menoknow, I'll be wearing my HypnosProjectHQ card around my neck, so you'll be able to find me. Do realize I am a red head with glasses who is in the 11-14 age group, so don't be afraid to approach me. :p

From the looks of it, all of the Eastern Wisconsin tournies should have a good showing.

Don't worry, I'll be in the side event now. Go Team Magma! :D

U'll have to count me out. My 2nd driver just told me he can't come, and I can't really make 1.5 hrs both ways...
 
Sorry to hear it, menoknow and Bullados. Good luck with school and your new league startup menoknow! I hope you can both make it here another time.

The Modified side event has been sanctioned. The entry fee will be just $5. That won't cover a large prize structure, but it will allow people who are strapped for cash a better chance to participate.

I'm really looking forward to this! :D

In fact, I'm looking forward to this entire weekend of 3 Sanctioned tournies. Boy will I be ahead of the game in rankings for '04-'05 Season! :)
 
I haven't checked directions to see what streets and highways I'd need to take to get there--but would traffic be bad coming or going there from green bay? That's my parents main concern is heavy traffic. I don't know what time I'd elave the even or how traffic would be at that time. I really want to go if possible.

I would leave like at least 4 hours before the tourney starts(to be on the safe side, in case you get lost or traffic is slow). Its a pretty straight shot from GB to brookfield, you can take 45 pretty much straight there. get off on the bluemound exit and its really close, just look for the v richards plaza or whatever its called, guitar center is right there also. i wouldnt worry about traffic at all on a saturday morning.

Yea, Traffic to/from the Green Bay area is only slow moving and packed tight when there is a Packer game. Remember the packer limo on the way to Manitowoc, Jared? :D

Would traffic be bad coming home though. I don't know what time that would be though. Not sure how bad traffic is on Saturday's.
