Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

So what exactly does Luxape lose to anyways?

^^ Dialga is just a 1-1 tech in what I call S P lox (LDP/DPL/ Whatever)- and it's just used as a tech for Mewtwo (or I guess queen if needed). But this matchup is almost 50-50, I'd say LDP has a slightly higher chance of winning.

But as for "So what exactly does Luxape lose to anyways?" - Kabutops! the most under rated card ever

I think that Luxape is the BDIF. I have been testing and I can't find a bad matchup. That said i haven't tried it against legos yet. I would have to say these are the top 3 decks in format:

1. Luxape
2. Palkia Lock
3. Gallade 4

Gallade 4?? Really? I've not heard it winning anything major/placing well, and Queen pretty much kills spread in this format. Course it's Machamp matchup might be pretty good, unless its got some wicked techs, it can't handle most of the other decks in the format.

Gallade/Luxray/Dialga (lemonade =] ) - Altho it isn't heavily played it's a SICK deck.

I think a ko'd Dusknoir X does the trick. The lists of true Luxapes haven't been running stadiums so it could be killer.

actually alot of Luxape Lists have been running rayquaza stark. Also It's easy for Luxape to get around Dusky X because they just intimidating roar Dusky to the bench and split bomb it for the KO so it doesn't get Ectoplasm

Luxape looses to my super secret deck(just now being introduced for you meta-breaking pleasure!), Bibarel/Relicanth!. with weakness across the board, and Resistance to Luxray(for bibarel) , this deck can wipe the floor with yur pitiful Luxrays and infernapes. Did I mention 1HKO on every attacker?

No way I am going to let anyone snipe anything on my bench doing 20! lol Split bomb is a joke. As far as the Quaza/ Stark...Please do put out your stark to put my Dusky X back in my hand... Quaza will just be taking up space when I discard the Stark. and I will get my Dusky X right back active. It Needs the HP boost anyways.

I think the true answer to this post is anything that can withstand the first rush can beat Luxape. They really can't deal that much damage every turn. Free retreat totally throws the game of Luxape off. I am a big fan of Dusky/ Flygon/Queen IMO. You hit me for 120 most and I will hit 150 to your benched X. While you recharge I will hit you again for 150. Every turn.

Palkia player. DPL > any palkia deck, at the moment, imo. No reason to NOT have luxray, really.

Yeah but DPL is so tight they can't really get the whole lock deal going IMO. It might be > Luxape I didn't think it'd be played enough to test against it.

You're right! Three stage twos with energy-intensive attacks, how ever can I defeat them?

BTS made this possible. That with rare candies, All you really need is acouple bebe's. Queen never touches an energy. and Dusky only requires 2 energy to damage even anything on the bench. If Dusky gets a chance with 3 energy it really foils Napes 2 energy + energy gain for 100. and makes any deck fairly clunky. I am not saying LuxApe is a bad deck but I am pointing out that I can beat it.

This guy can beat Luxape with dusknoir?
Nice level.

Yes this guy can. It is very frustrating discussing my deck when this is the only type of replies I get.... I don't think your post helped this forum at all..... and I believe they call this trolling. Seriously you guys really aren't open to anything. Sorry Shen I guess the answer to your post is nothing. There is not a card made that will beat Luxape. because I am not proposing a single card your right..... Dusky doesn't beat Luxape b/c you didn't even take the time to see that I am presenting a deck, not just Dusky. This is really silly. I think my deck is the perfect counter for Infernape. The only thing that kills me is when they run Ninetails..... But since your just looking at my deck as being Dusknoir I can assume your not running that! Seriously it is like saying you are only running Luxray or Infernape.... I am not saying that, I am looking at your whole deck. Please come with something more helpful rather than just trying to single someone out for making something different.

Before this set even came out my friend and I thought of Luxape. It is a BAD BAD deck. It flows together soo well. I just feel like it is predictable. IMO. So take it for what it is I swear I hate getting into these silly little forum spats but seriously you need to try rogue or thinking outside the box.

Let me correct my method behind the madness.

Ideal start is anything.
Objective#1: Get a claydol and dusknoir/with 2 energy by T2-3
Objective#2: Make sure Dusknoir X dies with a Fighting on him.
Objective#3: Promote Trapinch and gather sand... Candy to Flygon. If your opponent put out a stadium they are done.....
Objective#4: Level Up to flygon X sweep. while repeating steps 1-4.
whenever you feel it is right BTS another Flygon or Dusky and Candy Queen.

Please tell me that I am not drawing enough cards to do this! With draw power from Dusky and Claydol I can set up whatever I want.

Well I never said it helped...

The thing is that dusknoir is very slow for the actual metagame, and as there are many ways to get around gengar, there are even more ways to get around dusknoir lvX, and it is very vulnerable to power lock.
Did you even consider that they will gust out your nidoqueen, or even worse... if they gust it up before it evolves.
Unown G paired with poketurn makes damage even near useless, and night spin is just very hard to get going without any form of energy acceleration.

You said that luxape is a bad bad deck, that makes me think that you didn't build it and playtest with it to make a good list, then playtest that list vs your dusknoir deck.
