Well good luck to everyone still playing.

Life just hated me today. I had mandatory mock jury duty for law school (non-guilty BTW) and showed up about 5-10 minutes after round two started. This was because, I literally hit all but one red light coming from downtown STL to Crestwood. There was construction on one road. So, I had to take two losses from showing up late. That guaranteed that I would be at the bottom of the resistance tie breakers. No big deal, but win out and go 6-2, Top Cut, right?

Round three starts and I'm paired up with a fellow 0-2 who is playing MagneBoar. I'm playing tyRam. My opening hand is Cyndaquil, Vulpix, Reshiram, Typhlosion, Fire Energies. Not too bad. We start the game. He played Burned Tower. We play about 8-10 turns. I did not draw a single Collector (4), Communication (3), PETM (1), PONT (4), Sage's (3), Ninetales (2), or Cleffa (1) to get something resembling a hand. I got a single Typhlosion, no Ninetales, and two Reshiram all game. Somehow, I took three prizes before he took any. Then my hand ran out. I couldn't hit a heads on Burned Tower. I didn't get any supporters. Etc. I saw 22 cards of my deck and I didn't hit a single one of those cards previously mentioned in the whole game. Not. A. Single. One.

So, he cleared my field of Pokemon. I was 0-3 with the worst resistance. I dropped and decided to go home and be productive.

I guess sometimes it's just not your day. Today the world was definitely not on my side...

Oh well, that's life sometimes.

Good luck to everyone else!

I think last year someone sold over 2,000$ of cards to them. Granted it took FOREVER and held up a huge list of people looking for just completing small transactions, but they'll still complete the business as long as you're providing it.

And I think at Nationals this year someone sole cards worth $5,000.

Anyone know what the masters are looking like? Decks, players, anything?
