That Mew ex/Manectric ex thing

Electrike/ManectricEX is just the tip of the iceberg. MewEX combos well with a couple other varieties, and depending on the meta, these other variations will do very well too.

In a version me and PokeMontoya have been throwing around has 1 Registeel EM in it for it's Spinning Tail (20 to everyone) attack. Spinning Tail T2 is sweet

I want to know how this matchs up to the top decks in the format hey Moss, Seena any chance we will see this in the Stradgey section.

if i were u i would at least put a good attacker whose NOT an ex. evrything besides a electrike is an ex so basically a pokemon with safe gaurd destroyed your deck.

deoxys ex speed
yeah gatsu youre right but isnt he the only one and once hes dead what does he do unless he has a retriever or so, but it would still take some time attatching 2 him again.

in my opinion both seem bad. quaza takes up 2 much energy also his first attack is risky 2.
latios u need different type of energy which u can do with the holon trode or ton but if im right the only pokemon with safegaurd whose a stage 2 is dustox. still im not sure what 2 put in as well.

1 Deoxys speed works fine because....

Mew ex can use his attack too! The only problem being if Speedy is prized AND you are facing Safeguard AND they have nothing on their bench you can snipe so you can pull Speedy from your prizes. In other words, not very likely.

OK, I wasn't at the Midwest Regional, but I was intrigued at the mysterious Mew ex/Manectric ex deck that did so well. Since I couldn't find out what was in it except Mew ex and Manectric ex, I thought about it, and came up with this. While I'm sure this is FAR inferior to the real thing, it actually tested pretty well. Anyway, here it is. And I take NO CREDIT for this idea whatsoever.

Updated version
Pokemon - 16
4 Mew ex
4 Electrike (Recharge)
3 Manectric ex
4 Deoxys ex (all 4 versions!)
1 Lugia ex

Trainers - 28
4 Claw Fossil
2 Root Fossil
3 Prof. Elm
3 Holon Transceiver
3 Holon Mentor
1 Holon Scientist
2 Switch/WP
4 Mary's Request
2 Rocket's Admin
4 Power Tree

Energy - 16
5 Psychic
7 Lightning
4 Holon's Electrode

Good start would be Mew ex active with Lightning energy, Electrike on the bench, Recharge. Turn 2, attach Psychic, evolve to Manectric ex, hit something for 80. Turn 3, drop another Electrike and Recharge with Mew ex. Turn 4, hit something for 80. Repeat. Mew ex can also recharge himself with his own attack, then hide on the bench behind Fossils or Rhydon. I guess a switch/wp or two wouldn't hurt.

Anyway, whoever came up with the combo deserves some credit, Moss, Seena, whoever it was :thumb: I wish I could come up with something like that.

Again, this is not my idea and may not represent their idea at all except for Mew/Manny. But it's the best I can do since I wasn't there :frown:
Oh, and sorry if I'm spoiling anything

OK, after I wrote this, I saw the Manectric ex thread in Single Card Strategy

Overrated. Seena got extremely lucky on his matchups and extremely lucky on flips. He should have lost several times, and actually did lose in top 4 but he won the tournament anyway. Moss played the same list and lost in top 8 to a lunasol deck!?!?!? LOLZ

He lost in top 4? You mean he lost 1 out of the 3 or he actually lost? What happened? Anyway, overrated or not, all I know is that even my inferior version of the deck owns my Regionals deck on Apprentice :frown:
