The upcoming "Kingdra Meta"

So long as AMU is threatening, anything even remotely considering stage 2 dies instantly. Empoleon won't stay on top over here. Of course, this is assuming anyone can make a good, consistent build of AMU since there are plenty of consistency problems with the deck.

what is this AMU deck, what does it do I have no clue can someone please tell me

Unless magmortar plays magleaf. Leafeon kills kingdra and mag can just be used as a backup to spread or get on last prize or even just take out a claydol. The magleaf Vs. kingdra matchup is about 50-50 if not in mags favor.

Kingdra is swarmable, Mortar is not.
I say 75-35 in Kingdra's favor no matter if you play bubble coat.

It stands for Azelf, Mesprit, Uxie, AKA Pixie Power, Pixie Swarm, Pixie whatever.

Really, its a speed deck that tries to utilize Mesprit Level X's God Blast to its full potential which doesn't run nearly as fast as T2 Tune/Banette/Beedrill because of some consistency issues, though when it does set up, it is kind of problematic, though someone using a good spread should be able to own the deck to next Sunday.

But, that would have to a bit of an oversized matchup. And I've tried the Magmolutions list Chris Fulop used; I'd say it can do very good work. Can take off 40 from Magmortar if you try to damage it through two Flame Bodies.

AMU owns spread decks. Take a good look at Mespirt Lv.x's first attack. :wink:

I would rather have you KO 1 mesprit then several of my benched pkmn. Really all I need to do is use it once to buy several more turns of attacking.

Prime, they're decks I tested out mostly (some are a bit of theorymon) and found working good/very good. Its just an educated guess really, can't say anything for 100% sure.

I haven't actually tested Kingdra or TurnCruel, but I think Kingdra could tech against TurnCruel with Swampert GE. First off, if you try to spread a bunch of energy everywhere to do a ton of damage with Lanturn, Swampert can move most/all of it to the active Kingdra (or other active) to prevent most of the spreading. Second, if you attach two energy to an active Kingdra who already has one energy, and I have a benched Kingdra or a Seadra I am going to evole this turn, I can retreat and use Swampert's power to charge up the second one. Lastly, if there' enough energy in play, I can retreat for Swampert and pull energy (plus attach from my hand if I need to) and I can hit for 80 and discard the top card of your deck. This can kill anything in the deck with a pluspower/Bucks barring Ampharos if played, which is 2HKO'd, and it can OHKO any of the Stage 1's with spread as well. Again, I haven't plaed either, so I thought this would be the place to post and see what you uys think. Maybe someone here can test it.

^People don't seem to get that the lanturn still hits for 60 to your active kingdra, and the swampert can be paralized and posioned with tentacruels 2nd attack...not a great play to counter the deck.

Uxie makes it so you can't even spread to it without not being able to spread next turn and azelf means you can't power up without being sniped in the face for huge amounts of damage. And stalling against a deck that can cyle through its level Xs and do 200 damage with enough time is....just a bad play. :lol:
