Theres A Lochness Monster In My Mini Wheats! (deck article and masters states report)

I think everyone who thinks the matchups are WAY off or the deck is bad because of his record should look at this: http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=143403

Also, for whoever said that it hasn't won a states yet, this is a direct quote from the what won s/p/t's thread:

I'm not going to skype you man

Then until you can prove otherwise, my numbers stand correct through my current testing.

8 piling and then not shuffling at all is NOT a shuffle. Shuffles are random, what you described is an even distribution of cards throughout your deck. You will always get the same result in each of your piles if your deck is in order.

Nobody in Japan does it, nobody here does it. The idea is to pile shuffle and THEN shuffle your cards. It just gets them initially declumped.

I prefer a 6-pile because if it doesn't come out even, you don't have 60 cards. A good back up, but I don't shuffle in order... I go:

1...5....3
6...2....4

then shuffle individual piles, then shuffle top row together, then shuffle bottom row together.

Shuffling and then ending in 8 pile shuffling to end is a shuffle bro. Hence it is called an 8 PILE SHUFFLE.
And if you ever took a whole, eh, 20 seconds to 8 pile shuffle to find God Hand once; you'll realize that 8 Pile shuffles come back even as well. youll put the last 4 cards on top. Oh snap, did my logic just break that?

omnomnomnom, the kraken feeds itslef with the unknowing people

Indeed.

+1.

For what it's worth, I T16'd with it in Florida.
I won game 1.
Misplayed in game 2 (Should have azelf'd to know where my Warp energy was)
Game 3 my deck decided I was done for the day and game me every pokemon in my deck except for a magnemite.

I beat Ryan Vergel though, that was neat.

Clearly those seniors were not ready to handle the outrageous power of Magnezone.

8-pile shuffle all you want, it won't save you.

I always shuffle my opponent's deck.

Bwahahaha.

Nice report.

Should of 8 piled man :(

There were 3 seniors (that I know of) playing this at VA states. They got the bottom percentile

Since when did we start talking about seniors? This is masters bro.

Obviously.

magnezone is a great deck if you know how to play it and have a good list which you dont

Oh, I'm sorry you feel like that. What is all so horrible in my list in which you would change all-knowing-kamz? :O

So be it, Kraken will still rise.

I took a Magnerock variant to my States. It was my first ranked Pokemon tournament ever, and I'm a total noob (read: less than 3 months play experience), and I still went 3-4 with this deck. I don't really understand why you don't run Engineers, since it's one of very few ways to get Fighting energy into the discard. Morten says you NEED it, and he pioneered the list. Just curious.

How did Relicanth work out for you? I'm currently teching in Sandslash SV to keep the engine running, but Umbreon ruined my day (I might have gone 5-2 if not for that little guy), and I've been thinking of changing some stuff around. He's on my testing list, and I was wondering how he worked out for other people.

No, I mean a deck that is designed to take out basics and has no reliable attacks. None of the wins were donks because my opponent played spiritomb. So before you go making smart comments, know your facts.

I'm curious as to what "facts" it is that I'm supposed to know? So, it DOESN'T hit for weakness? And, it ISN'T a donk deck? Because, as far as I know, both of those statements I made ARE facts....

Morten had the first list that did well, yes. I find I don't NEED engineers adjustment because of blissey.
1. Blissey (he doesn't run it)
2. Blisseys Draw 6 Cards and Do 20 damage breaks locks. OMGWTFBBQ?!
3. Just Regirock More Fighting Energy Into Discard.

Besides the first turn of the game (in which you won't have fighting energy there), the 2nd turn just usually has a way of providing it.

Well, with his list, and his right techs. It's obviously better. But he can't tell you, its a secret deck. Obviously.

I did, but i should have gave my deck a bathroom break sometime during the day since it decided to crap on me in tops.

Sad man, sad :/
