How do I collect my travel allowance (1st place) and Origins Pass (1st and 2nd place)?
Upon receiving your prize package at your State Championships, the Tournament Organizer will provide you with a packet. In this packet there will be a checklist, Origins Pre-Registration Form, and Player Fact Sheet. In order to qualify for the benefits, the checklist and Origins Pre-Registration Form must be postmarked by April 4th, 2008. If you would like to participate in our marketing efforts, we ask that you mail the Player Fact Sheet by April 4th, 2008.

The Origins Pre-Registration Form must be mailed directly to Origins at the address provided on the form in order to secure your Full-Show Pass. Players who fail to return their Pre-Registration Form to Origins in time will lose the benefit of free admission to the convention. Please note, this year Origins will require parents/guardians and additional guests to purchase a spectator pass to enter the event hall. Please visit www.originsgames.com for more information.

The travel allowance will be given on Friday, June 28th, between the hours of 1:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. and for one hour after Swiss rounds on Saturday, June 29th, at the Pokémon TCG Tournament Headquarters in the TCG Hall. Photo ID of the player or the player’s parent/guardian will be required to collect your travel allowance.

For those individuals who have already purchased a pass but who are eligible for a pass, you may contact GAMA directly to ask for a refund. This is your responsibility. GAMA has offered to waive the $20 administration fee.

How do I collect my Travel Award and Origins Pass (U.S. residents only)?
Upon receiving a prize package that includes a Travel Award and/or Origins pass at your Regional Championships, the Tournament Organizer will provide you with forms to return to Pokémon USA, Inc. The forms must be postmarked no later than April 25th, 2008, in order to qualify for the benefits.

If your forms are not postmarked by the April 25th deadline, your Travel Award and Origins pass will be waived, and you will not be eligible to receive either.

In addition, you will need to return the Origins Pre-Registration form directly to GAMA to secure your Full-Show pass. This pass will allow you free admission to the convention and event. Please note, this year Origins will require parents/guardians and additional guests to purchase a $3.00 spectator pass to enter the event hall.

For those individuals who have already purchased a pass but who are eligible for a pass, you may contact GAMA directly to ask for a refund. This is your responsibility. GAMA has offered to waive the $20 administration fee.

Looks like you're double golden. Good luck!

hehe. im really cleared up thanks to you! if i see u il try to thank u! i guess il be trying to recieve it after swiss rounds becuase i think we'll be arriving at 5-6P.M. what a shame. the swiss better not take too long because im tired these days.

Ok, HELP! I pre-ordered the badge and it was $50 total. Now what do I do? I need a step by step guide! =D

I'm in the same boat as you are. I bought my $50 badge and I will be traveling about 7 hours to get there. Aside from buying your badge you will need to be registered. (which I did on the website today but I'm not 100% sure it'll let me in due to lack of communication). Then the day of you will need to turn in your decklist the day of the event before it starts.

As of right now I haven't seen anything from POP on their website and the Origins site shows they still have room. I highly doubt they have room but like I said they need to post it if they don't, not just let players know by asking other players.

Go back to the Origins site and log in. Next, once logged in, add an event to your badge (Pokemon National Championship, for your age group would be a good choice).

Print the page showing your registration.

Show up, get your badge and event ticket, and get in line for deck check. Don't be late.

Good luck!

what time is deck check? i dont want to be late or miss anything. thank u soo much pokedad

The Pokémon TCG U.S. National Championships is a sanctioned title event open to all U.S. resident players in good standing and is run using the Age Separated Swiss format. The National Championships will be held at Origins Game Fair in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, June 28th and Sunday, June 29th, with registration beginning at 9:00 A.M. Players not in line for registration by 9:30 A.M. will be registered for the event with a first-round loss.

chimCharlie, my son, and I won't be at Nats, but we are glad to have been of help to some of you.

We'll see you all at Worlds, after chimCharlie grinds in on Friday.

Good luck everybody!

Thanks so much PokeDad. I owe you big time. I got Side Events for Sunday, but what if I make Top Cut? Will they update my badge there? And is it required to print out that page?

So that does let me in? I wasn't sure because the numbers are kind of screwy.

If you added the event to your badge registration, backed up with a screen print or e-mail confirmation print copy as back up, I don't see how you won't have a ticket issued to be playing.

Deck checks are OPTIONAL. (Over a thousand deck checks? Seriously!...)

You just have to be standing in line to turn in your deck list at registration by 9:30AM. After 9:30AM, you can get a round 1 loss (or win), but it won't count against your Premier rating because you didn't actually play a match.

Good luck all! Wish I was there, but somebody's gotta mind the 'gym.

If you make Top Cut, your deck will be confiscated for an overnight deck check. You will be told what time to show up for Sunday's play. Show up early. You won't have to do anything else; don't worry, just top cut.

Help please? If you don't mind, I understand you are busy. So, if I show the confirmation number, I don't have to bring a print out?

Deck checks are optional, but I wouldn't want a possible prize card penalty or game loss due to an "accidentally" scratched (marked) sleeve or wrong Steven's Advice, etc..

Deck checks are a good idea. Yes, over a thousand of them. I was drafted to help check decks at 2 out of the last 3 Nationals and 2 out of 3 of the last Worlds. With enough volunteers, it goes quickly enough.

As of 8:56pm EST Thursday night:

8000 : Pokemon TCG US National Championships - Masters Division Sat 9:00am 69/337
8001 : Pokemon TCG US National Championships - Senior Division Sat 9:00am 37/122
8002 : Pokemon TCG US National Championships - Junior Division Sat 9:00am 44/126

When I travel, I only bring confirmation numbers and have never had a problem. I am only recommending screen prints if possible because of the concerns over lack of available seats this year. I imagine you too will be golden.

Good luck!

Thank God myself and my sister are there. Mystery thing, could you please PM me? I want to tell you my name, so I can be sure I am a part of those numbers.

I have yet to get a confirmation e-mail about the events I added a couple of hours ago. I'm going with a print screen.
