Top Decks at Regionals

hi water pokemon master,

i think the most obv. deck that will completely sweep regionals would have to be dpg-unit

here are some reasons why:
-it is incredibly fast
-counters lots of weakness
-pokemon can do BIG damage by turn 3

so you can see why it will win.
 
This is a twisted time in the format, i can't really recall a time of equal confusion and fear

BF Destroyed/Broke the format and it has caused many to begin playing rogue, disruption and beatdown decks with the new set but still we don't know the big decks yet as prime said When the smoke clears we'll see the biggest decks out there right now. Well we all know ludicargo has much strength and is fast, but as any deck it has one really exploitable weakness, lightning weakness, but not EVERYONE plays lightning and its not the bst type there is, ZapDos's instability proves that, so ludicargo is still a good run of a deck, then we have Blaze, blaze can still work, just it takes far more skill to play than it used to and really only experts can pick it up and make it work.

Deoxys/Metagross died down quite a bit, its unknown to me why it did, but i guess it was because the deck was easy to defeat or just wasn't consistant enough, either way, gardy doesn't have a problem with this deck at all or in anyway, gardy has also risen from the ashes after BF's creation due to it shuts off most of the bigger decks like Blaze's Pidgeot or just about every other thorn in that deck's side, now we've come to Swampert

Swampy, that old titan, it did great at worlds and it's time it was recreated and because it doesn't rely on pidgeot it can do just as well as it used to, possibly faster because of it which makes this deck a force to be very afraid of, though VEX decks just cut right through it like a hot knife through butter its still a powerful deck vs almost anything else, but sceptile, that old rogue power, he can still become powerful but it too requires more skill as with any other deck in this format right now.

This format is a format of skill right now, and the newbies (See My Article) will be crushed

Heres my opinon on what decks might dominate:

Ludicargo
blaze
vileplume ex

Zappy is very hard to contend with in the natoional circuit. I play it and love it but even ill admit it wont survive nationals with an honerable record

Noone looked at this idea but Camerupt ex with magcargo is a powerhouse and it might come out of the woodwork to do well so watch out

If i had to choose a national champiuonship winning deck i have one name for you:
LudiCargo!!!!!!

That's really logical. Oh wait.

One card destroying the deck that was by far the BEST in the format? Hasn't the lesson of Blaziken taught you anything? It doesn't die. It's not that easy to kill the best deck in the format. Simple. Easy. Done. Nextel.

Rock-lock is dead( it is...let it go, BF>>>it. no pidgeot, no TTar power, no amphy power, ATMIce<<milotic...what else is there to save it?)

Here are the decks I expect to see at regionals:
zapturndos
vileplume ex
gardy
blaze
camerupt ex
psychic/fighting decks (things with medicham ex, dark slowking, etc)
ghost decks(with dusclops ex, ghosts are playable)
sally/dragtrode-althought not as dominant, i can be sure it will still be played a little, and with the right player, can still do well
monarchy
lanturn variants
ludicargo
metagross decks
acid liability(im hoping this deck will get played, its fun)


the decks i think will do well:
a vex deck
gardy
blaze
ludicargo
rogue decks. i think rogue decks are going to be all over, or atleast alot of diversity.

at least it wont be like it was at states, there won't be a top 8 consisting of 6 rocklocks.
 
Logically Rand0m, it is dead,

Rock-Lock bases its combat on yoour opponents turn if they play BF then do their turn, you can't do amphy or t-tar's power actually you can, but only once.

Nah i dont see speeddrill doing well in the regionals. Now with camerupt making an appernace and blaziken coming back strong even if crobat is added to it (sorry ray) it wont last with fire making its comeback :smile:
