Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

UK 2008 - Event Timeline March to May

wot no Lugia???

Ben unless you start at some ungodly hour a T16 can't be expected to finish by 6pm. T16 is 4 hours without deck checks. T16 needs 5/6 swiss rounds which is 4-5 hours of play.

oops I was of course still in top 8 mode - I don't expect a top 16 since we didn't even have one at last years UK Nationals! Brain needs a shake from all these demos!

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

I was intending this post to be for Premier Events leading up to Nationals does anyone want the Majestic Dawn Pre-releases added here too?

Sanctioned JUST means that it is visible on the op website and the organiser agrees to abide by POPs rules.

I believe what you are asking is two fold. First if the event will be retrospectively flagged as PREMIERE? I expect that it will. Second if once it is flagged as PREMIERE will it get trophies and goodie bags? Well I hope and expect that they will. But given that not all the CCs received medals and goodie bags I'm not surprised at an outbreak of scepticism.

In previous years the PREMIERE events were sanctioned directly by the UK OP organiser, which was - as far as we knew - the way things were still being done.

Hence the lack of advance sanctioning.

I just assumed once we'd confirmed the date that this would be done, but it wasn't.

Esdevium tells me that they've not had any authorisation to send out the prize support boosters. Have any other Regional organisers had this problem? Did you get stock and or booster support? Is it just me?

(The Battle Roads support came through just fine. But I'm currently out three booster displays of product, so I'd like to know what's formally happening).

I am well aware of what was being asked -

Yes - we sanctioned it as a CC so yes all flags will be applied.

Prizes - There has been an issue with some places getting no CC badges...however not much said about the venues which had two of CC prize packs.,.....(And yes we are finding out why this has happened)

Formally, we send the LD a list, they send it out. So may be a fault with us. If so we will get this out asap.

What was attendance like for London this year?

Disappointingly low (no fault attributed to anyone on the day at all, just the way things were)... I think university exams / SATs (7, 11 and 14 year old national school examinations) on the following Tuesday and generally exam season / Bank Holiday weekend was the cause of the low attendance.

BTW save me a staff promo 'pro  I forgot to collect it from you...

Hope to see how well the 4-1 performance did on my rankings soon... ^_^

Attendance seems to be following a trend nation-wide. I think your right about exams though, it does play a large factor of whether people or not can go. It's ashame they're not a little earlier in the year really...

Our side-event prerelease at our State Championships this weekend may not go ahead as promised. Just got off the blower with Esdevium - it appears the stock is stuck in Belgium and may not reach the UK by the end of the week. I'll update a little nearer the time.

I expect prerelease's across the UK scheduled for this weekend will also suffer the same problem...

Fun fun fun...must say it's keeping us on our toes! :nonono:

London STP had 50 players 17-16-17 which is 7 down from last year. A drop but nothing like Southamptons'. I wouldn't conclude too much from London's slight fall.
