Usually by the time you have a Crobat to get the KO off with, though, they've set up anyway or at least won't be harmed by losing Spiritomb.
So you have to come up with your primary attacker (which now takes 3 energy to do 80 instead of just 2) without most of your search, while your opponent possibly has their primary attacker already in place.
Any deck that is playing Vileplume "correctly" will not be harmed by being trainerlocked.
