Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Virginia's 08-09 City Championship Info

He went 2-3 with VanderHatter.

See everyone saturday!

Yeah...

But.. in the guy's defense, VanderHatter, is so NOT a grab-n-go type of deck.

I was one of the people that helped Vandergrad test that deck when it was just an idea.

There's ALOT of protol and practice required to make that deck run smoothly.

Just like Regigigas looks like a very simple deck to play, but requires a little bit of pattern-n-practice to master (or AMU for that matter).

I hope everyone jumps on the VHat deck bandwagon. Since it's one of the decks that I have the most practice testing against.. lol

It would serve Darth well to, sort-of, pick a deck and stick with it rather than switching up every CC.
Lil Bro (PikaMaster) seems to do better w/ the deck shape-shifting thing. I guess the lil' bro is used to getting whatever deck/cards he's left with and has learned be extremely adaptative.

PikaMaster played Kingdra, and last season played Plox for pretty much the whole season... Not really "adaptive" to me.

About VanderHatter: It does NOT work. It worked extremely well in the CA metagame, where it experienced Vander/Hatter's victories.

I actually had no problems using it, I just had horrid luck for the whole day... The 1 random Torterra with unown G is what really did it. That, and a lucky champ player, and having my Gliscors prizes against a gigas....

No, it does work.

Oh no, whatever Tim had seems to be contagious...

What's in the California metagame?

Random?! awh!
You should have expected unown G. It's all the rage right now at the moment. That Dusknoir being 1 short of a KO on its damage placement was quite climactical, wasn't it?

And I don't want to play Vanderhatter right now at the moment. Charchar, yoyoofsho16, ascension and Lucario EX, thank you for loaning me cards, but I won't need them now.

Vanderhatter does work. It won in NV (not CA) and NC and others. It is a good deck with the right list.

EVERY DECK WORKS....

if you play it, test it, tweak it, and make it your own...

every deck works.

Match-ups... there's your beast.

Haha, wow, I didn't pull any Blastoise, but I did get 2 Delcatty.

I have got 2 Claydol and a luxury ball you can borrow for those two dates, btw, if Lucario EX doesn't pull through.

No Uxie, though, I need all of the ones I have.

GIVE MY THE KITTY KATTYS!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you very much, you just made my little brother's cities.

Is anyone interested in testing against Blastoise/Delcatty? I've got a proxied out version I'm considering bringing.

Haha, that's funny, I wanna playtest my Ampharos/Manectric, which eats your deck for lunch!

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

You should bring it though, that would be good, clean fun.

I've got the Uxie (it's Japanese) and Luxury Ball, and you might be able to use my two Claydol at Warrenton (not sure about this, there's someone else who might be borrowing them), but I'll need the Claydol at Fairfax.

I'll bring one of my proxy decks to Fairfax, probably. Not sure which one though.

Okay, thanks. If it's japanese, do you have a second? That way I don't need to get translations.

If they had a second, what's the point of giving you the Japanese one?

I need three. I have two english.

BTW Lucario isn't a they, she's a she.

Am I allowed to use sleeves with a picture of a dragon on them?
I thought I read something in the tournament rules about not being allowed to use sleeves with pictures, but I've seen other people do it, sooooooooo

No art backed sleeves (other than official pokemon sleeves) are permitted at premier events. If you saw them at one of my events, it must of been a prerelease.
