If anyone wants to know how I did so poorly today (last place), here is the scoop:

I was tricked into playing an awful deck by a Pokemon playing friend of mine who claimed to have gone X-0 in a CC with it. He created a lot of hype for it, and I decided to play it after consistently beating decks at my league with it (not many good decks there, shouldv'e known better). He just was so serious about it, and never even cracked his strategy to trick me even once. The deck looked viable with a good strategy, and he even teched it and stuff like that. Not once did he break his story.

In the end, he tricked me and some other people into playing it and we all got shocked.
I definately became a better player by learning from the experience though...

I STILL had bad luck though. 13 tails out of 13 flips? RIDICULOUS.

I'm just a little heartbroken that my friend would do that... :frown:

I'm having bad CC luck.

Yeah, I saw your flips, lol.

I lost cause it was fair first and second game.

Third game, not a single candy until the last turn which I lost. :(
 
Hey all: During one of my games at the Warrenton City Championship, I had a question about Marley's Request and how it could be played if you only had one Supporter card in your discard pile. Long story short: Yes, you can play it and pull out the sole Supporter card from your discard pile. Kudos to the judges at Warrenton.
 
I think we will be at Woodbridge. Do you have to pre register for that one?

I would like to be at Fairfax to, but I think its one or the other. :(

Absolutely!! Shadow Card had some tough calls to make at this event and he did a great job as HJ.

No prereg required at Game Parlor, since past attendance there has been surprisingly small. I hope that will turn around with this event though!! A few Masters players were notably absent yesterday (you know who you are!) and we really hope to see you in Woodbridge/Fairfax.

When you call Fairfax to prereg if you don't have a POP ID (unlikely if you are here on the gym!) just let them know that you don't have one. We'll issue you one at the event.

This just go to show, never copy someone's deck just because you hear that it did good in tournaments.

those at Warrenton got a taste of some of the special door prizes I've got from last summer's trip to Japan in my bag of goodies. As previously announced, a full sized, sealed Heatran/Regigigas binder with japanese card sleeves will be given away in Fairfax!! I'll have something from Japan that will be useful to all TCG players to give away in Woodbridge as well!!
 
Heh, the useful prize will probably something I had, and I want, but will get something I have and don't need. :frown:

Oh well, it's fun watching Juniors scream over something like Trading Figures or Shaymin. :lol:
