Virginia's 2011 State Championships Announcement

Heh, thanks, but Mike P (Poke Sensei) has been out of this for a while now. If you guys are who I think you are, welcome back---we've missed you!!!

Yea, it is Daniel and I...depends upon daniel's college situation we most likely will be going to the Virginia State and NC state championships. Daniel is running a zapdos varient, while i am running a beedrill varient.

?? Jeff did dice at Regionals last year, but I did not do dice for States. Based on the "clear or transparent" rule for legal randomizers, I'm not planning on doing dice this year either, sorry.

Awe, but that rule was around last year :(

Jeff had to have shelled a deal for those though, chessex customs are NOT cheap.

I'm really interested in knowing what out-of-state folks are heading our way on the 19th... I have a pretty good idea of what VA in-state attendance will be, but please post if you are coming from MD, NC, or wherever else that you might hail from for my planning purposes. No need for names, just numbers and your state, thanks!!

What are the time frames for both the Video Game Championship and the Trading Card Game Championship because I would like to participate in both.

Thanks

I believe that this is only the Trading Card Game event, sorry. To my knowledge, there are no Video Game State Championships.

L. EX is correct. TCG and VG events coincide only at Nats and at Worlds at the present time, sorry!!

At this time, I'd like to encourage all VA Players to attend either the Maryland or the North Carolina State Championships this Saturday. Mike and Jeff are great guys and you will have a BLAST!! Likewise, I hope to see many of you from MD and NC here in Richmond on the 19th.

None of you. Stay away. You don't want to come. I heard that the NC/TN are FAR better than the MD states. :p

Apparently others are, too, as I've just been informed by ShadowCard that the block of rooms is now full. Lemme do some research and I'll post some nearby hotels.

Bet I can top that with my wakeup time for MD states----

4 AM :eek::eek:

But I had (as usual) an AWESOME time at Mike's event.

(judged)

Don't forget to bring your D/P/Pt/HG/SS game with 3 pokemon for trade and take a shot at being the lucky player to WIN a shiny Entei, Raikou, and Suicune trio. These are on a HG game, so I cannot trade with BW pokemon, sorry.

Additional door prizes:
Booster Packs
Japanese Deck boxes (from my trip last summer)
McDonald's Happy Set Sticker Promo for the Zorua/Zoroark movie (again from last summer)
DS Lite Japanese Pokemon Center Skins (yup, last summer)

Who thinks about you guys EVEN when I'm in Japan?????
:smile::smile:

Congrats to Michael P for taking master's in MD last week!!! Virginia takes MD, woot! Let's see if the tables are turned this week!! @WSM--come and find out, duh!! :wink:
