Well, me and my luck, I've almost lost my voice completely. Can I still play? (Don't worry I'm not sick just darn allergies) Or can I not play because I can't talk?
 
Vendor, yes. However, they only deal with cards and related items. So, to the best of my knowledge, no plushies..:frown:

That shouldn't stop you from playing. Just be sure to point to Powers and attacks you're using, things like that.

This is highly encouraged for all players, lost voice or loud voice, because it helps the opponent understand what you are doing and helps prevent the game state from becoming confused :cool:
 
GAAAAAH ZED SHOULDA JUST GONE LAST WEEK
he stayed home sick from school all week, and is only 24 hours into the 48 hours his doctor said he should take medicine for before doing anything social or active... I'm so lonely :'(
 
Very good tourney.

No controversy. No tough judging calls. Good crowd and random meta.

Highlights of the day (from a judging standpoint) was watching an Unown Q donk a Machamp :/
watching LJ have two sick turns to T1 donk M.Pramawat TWICE in top 8 (game 1 AND game 2)
Watching LJ come back from WAAAAY behind to beat BEN in top 16.
Seeing Tatiana (from NC) run GengarPlume (not lost gar) like a BOSS. She was like butter with that deck man... (out in sudden death vs. Machamp in top 16 though)
Seeing ScizorPrime techs just LOCK DOWN decks (you would think people would KNOW by now??)
NATE B. vs. LostGar DEAFEN for a straight 30 mins FTW (LOLz!!!!!!!!)
Meeting and talking with the North Carolina crew during and between rounds (only the cool ones though.. :p )
Seeing MORE females playing in all three age divisions.
Being able to give away new large ('unseen') Black/White promo posters. (I GOT THE HOOKUP.. HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME!) :p
Judging at the same large event as my wife :)

Best of all, seeing ALL of the VA leagues represented!

Geez, I gotta be in NoVA in, like a few hours to meet the Japanese exchange students!!! More later, but I gotta thank the best staff in the US (I am totally serious here, you guys (and gals) really, really are sooooo top caliber) Nats would be lucky to get any of you.

Thank you so much for making my 6th VA States such an amazing day.

Gah, darn Uxie donk...why must those decks exist XP I did worse than I expected this year. Mom said she'll probably take me to regionals since it's my last year as a senior until I go into the scary masters division *shivers*

Oh yea, the vender was awesome! I bought 12 1st edition neo destiny and pulled 3 holos and a shining noctowl :biggrin:

Thanks, Crazar. The staff here are the best!! ...and Hburg IS listed on our site (unlike VA Beach, cough, Zach, cough)
 
-rustles about- Yeeeeeah about that I lost the e-mail of the person to update and I don't really frequent VA Pokemon for stuff. Who should that e-mail go to?

Anyway it was fun coming and playing something besides LuxChomp. I didn't do too hot, but it was a crazy fun deck to play. I don't think I've had so many people comment on my sleeves as I did at this event. For those wondering who I may have been I had the blue Fransisca Von Karma iObject shirt on and used the psychedelic energy sleeves. I was playing some random Magenzone deck I had been tinkering with. This deck choice was largely based on the fact my sleeves matched my play mat. I also referenced a lot of Yu Gi Oh/Abridged things. Great way to pick a deck!

Anyway nicely run event. I feel like I was playing the avoid Mr. T game the whole time I was there, but it was largely from having a pretty big VA Beach group to hang out with. It was fun meeting everyone that I did. Played some great games and felt good about how I did against LuxChomp in the 2nd or 3rd round. I ended up the game with 2 prizes to his win, but I had never really play tested against a LC so it was pretty fun.

Best of luck to everyone at Regionals I'll be thinking about you from Ireland.
