yeah it won the collinsville CC by tiebreaker and it would've won the STL by tiebreaker had i not gotten a draw in the final round........

yeah i agree that i think it's sad that people build decks that hide behind fossils, but then again, i always hated WALL decks in general........

I still hate the deck, almost as much as Psyduck......... but not quite since i don't have that whole spite thing feeding my hatred
 
I think the fossil strategy is great, and very strategic. Using it with Wailord...not too strategic. Many better uses.

I think I hate the deck most...because it SUCKS.

And the bet I proposed would not be over Apprentice. I propose we do it at Gen Con or Origins, or Worlds. Its for money, I'd rather do it in person. IF Newmans man enough of course.

I've played it too. I had already won a CC, so I played this at a CC last weekend just for fun.

It went 2-3, losing to Muk EX (although I beat 2 other Muk EX variants), Raichu EX, and something else that I don't remember. I think it could be tweaked to be a solid 3-2 deck, but not much beyond that.

The worst thing was that it wasn't too much fun to play. I was hoping it would be (and maybe it would have been more fun if Mr. Briney's Compassion worked on EXs), but it wasn't. Eh.
 
Yeah, I personally own 0 Wailord EX. I tested on Apprentice and a few IRL with proxies. MUK with Low Pressure System OWNS you ( and all Muk EX should run that btw, due to Wobbuffet, so you live its attack )
 
Yeah, Muk EX deals 180 damage a shot. But when I played Wailord EX at the CC, I faced 3 Muk EX decks and beat 2 of them. I think the 2 I faced did not have LPS active. That extra 10 HP makes a TON of difference (surviving to do 180 damage vs. dying in 1 shot from Wailord EX).
 
I ran a 3-2 line of Wailords, 2 normal and 3 EX ones. You never need more than 3 EX, and with good draw power your fine anyways.
 
honestly guys both wailord's are nothing but a metagame attempt to try and destroy blaziken beacause its the top deck it really isnt that good =/
 
If your looking to destroy BAR, maybe try a simple water deck with energy removal capabilities. You remove the electric from rayquaza, and when they send up blaziken, hit it for 50 from a water pokemon. I don't think they would attack with ampharos but maybe with delcatty or stall with dunsparce. Logically a water/er deck would have a great advantage over BAR. Now over niniken....well I guess hit fast and quick doing 50 with a water, so you can OHKO every pokemon in the deck(unless they use delcatty).
 
Prime- To Destory BAR, all you need is Muk EX, Water won't do nothing. Maybe even with Muk, you still might have a small chance, because smart players run Warp Point.

Salamence is probably the safest best if all you want to beat is Blaziken decks, you have an easy one-hit knockout of Rayquaza and beat Blaziken easily. It will require some finessing to handle Delcatty (include some Strength Charms for the one-hit knockout).

But I am wary about playing Salamence as long as Crystal Shard is in the format, so many people have them for use against Rayquaza. I know that Zangoose is a major danger, but that is at least not as unuversally played and easier to plan against because it won't come as much as a surprise.

But all this may not matter if Blaziken EX has the same text as Nick15's translation when we see it tomorrow!
