Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Washington State Championships March 14, 2009

Great tourney....including an awesome job by the TOs/Staff having to deal w/ the computer crash. Anyone who wants to get mad about the wait time between those rounds, should be forced to sit and watch TO's/Judges/Computer People attempt to manually pair up over 100 people, just to make their heads spin at the thought of having to try and keep things running smoothly, while at the same time trying to figure out whose going to play who in the next round (only knowing they have to do it again in an hour or so).

In other news, I went 3-3 with a Castform deck, and I can only imagine the chaos I could have created if I would have somehow snuck into the top 16. I had more then enough fun just watching the shock on people's facing when they saw my Castform Swarm.

Oh, I also enjoyed the very serious, "DQ" given to me by a certain head judge during Round 2, due to the hat I was wearing (Go Huskies).

Good luck to everyone in Oregon next week that goes.

That's right. Foul language is definately not allowed! I'm supprised that the 'gym Moderators haven't deleted your post for the swear words in your last parenthetical remark.

Wow, sounds like a good time in WA. I'm sorry I missed it. I'm very bummed, actually. anyone take any pictures?

See you in Salem on Saturday.

Thanks to all for a great time at States. We had an awesome time. I really appreciate all the hard work the judges, parents and players put into this stuff.

Props to Terry and his crew for putting all the time into this. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. It seems like we just finished Cities and you guys were back at it. Many thanks!!! My boy was tired when we got home but he wouldn't missed this for anything.

This is a pretty neat community!!!

Props to Lily, she is an incredible player and it was awesome watching them go at it! Wouldn't you know Jr's would start so late AND go the full three games!!! I didn't hear either of them complain once, they were total pros!!! It was a truly epic battle and a deserved win. Congrats!!!

See you all in a little while.

Riddle me this...

When can a player top cut at a State Championship and yet loose 27 ranking positions in North America?

By getting in top cut with a 5-2 or 4-3 record, and then losing?
With a bunch of other people doing well at their states.

Do I win a cookie?

Ohhhh, you mean as in dropping.

I see.
Guess that works too.

But I still want the cookie.

Try again guys... I never said anything about loosing points,,, just ranking position. Ralts you should know this one, your ranked lower right not on Go.Pokemon.com in North America then you were this time last week as well I bet.

ok i'll be serious. they go 4-2 and make top cut at 8th while 1st is a person who never plays and has a low ranking. they then lose both rounds for an overall 4-3 losing to a new person for a buncho' points lost.
do IIIII get a cookie?

Well it was worth not testing for three weeks, I just got accepted to the University of Utah Pharmacy School

Utah.....UTAH!!

Are you sure it the Pharmacy school thats drawing you there!!!

Bingo Ralts its when your PTO has to be the last one to turn in the Tournement!!
By the way I have dropped 29 spots now.

Anyone have a list of who top cut at Washington States? I am just curious if more Washington players Top cut then Oregon? Usually I request a copy so I can post it but I forgot last week.
