What is your favorite RPG?

Hmm, since this seems to be a general thread discussing RPGs, mainly ones people like, I have a few questions.

1. What are some good strategy/tactics genre RPGs, other then the Fire Emblem series and Final Fantasy Tactics (Advance)?
2. What are all the 'Tales of' series games/which were the best ones?
2 and a half. A while ago, I saw a girl playing a GBA game that was in Japanese. I had no idea what you did in the game, but I saw her scrolling through sheets of character images. I didn't recognize all of them, but I definitely recognized a sheet or two of Tales of Symphonia characters. Now, I'm thinking it was some kind of compilation of the characters from the 'Tales of' series, but I have no idea what you did with them, or anything. When I asked the girl what it was, she said "Nothing, you wouldn't know what it is" or something like that...don't remember. Anyways, does anyone know what I'm talking about/know what this is?

1. Final Fantasy IV Advance and Paper Mario(either) are great.
2. Really no idea.
2.5. Probably Tales of Phantasia. It's been in development forever.

1. Neither of those are tactics games.

2.5 but why would that have tales of symphonia characters in it...

I have a stupid question. How can a game be "in development" when it's been out since the SNES years and already has several episodes of an OAV made for it? Or are they remaking the game?

Okay, turns out I just don't keep up with new stuff very well. Nice how they're remaking it, the remake being what I assume was being in development "forever." Still, old SNES classics seem to be making reappearances a lot. Wonder why that is... Ah well, I can't wait to see what becomes of the the "Mint has that quiet elegance about her, but I'll bet Arche [ka-censored-ified] like a tiger" line on the boat. :tongue:

Jedi Academy was slightly better, but i'd hardly call either of them RPGs
 
Favorite RPG

My favorite RPG would have to be Baldurs Gate II Throne of Bhaal I like it because it uses medievil weapons and has magiclly encanted weapons in it as well as many classes to choose from like Bard and it's sub classes Blade Skald Jester
the other classes are Fighter: berserker wizard slayer and my personal favorite Kensai AKA "The Sword Saint" Paladin: Cavalier Undead Hunter (and one more which I can't remember off the top of my head) Cleric: Priest of Talos priest of Helm priest of Lathandor Wizard: Necromancer Transmuter Conjurer Abjurer Diviner Enchanter (and 1 or 2 more that I can't remember) Thief: Assasin Bounty Hunter Swashbuckler
Ranger: Stalker Beast Master Archer
Barbarian, Sorceror, Monk,
I also like it because it takes at least two years to beat. But if you are a master at the Ad&D rules however it takes about 1 1/2 years.
It is a great game but it is pretty hard to find.
 
Hmmm RPG...Final Fantasy Tactics has ALWAYS been one of my favorites. Another is Pokemon....DUH!

Now on to table top RPG's...I love Mordheim. Its a much smaller version of War Hammer 40K.

Didn't know you liked table top games. I've played war Hammer 40k for like 7 years now.

Anywho, My favorite RPG is Final Fantasy VII. I hope they remake it for the PS3 casue PSOne graphics are hard to look at. And then of course there is Pokemon.
 
Given the massive amount of time between my posts in this thread, I'll toss out FFT.

Also I envision 'Mom locking this thread as a poll.
