What's up with WALMART? Do they still sell Pokemon TCG?

Hey guys,

Is anyone else having trouble finding Pokemon cards at Walmart?

We have NO Target or Toys-R-Us around here. So, I usually order cards online or travel to the cap city to buy cards.

Our Walmart appears to be clearing out ALL TCGs from its shelves.
I can speculate there was a theft problem?

Anyway, if it's just OUR Walmart, and you guys are finding them in Walmarts everwhere else, let me know. Then, I'll swing by a Walmart whenever I'm in another part of the state.

I'm in Canada, and they still sell Pokemon Tins and cards up here at Wal-Mart.

Walmarts around SE Wisconsin seem to have gotten rid of theirs as well. I had a Christmas giftcard I wanted to whipe out over spring break. That didn't work...

Our local Wal-Mart moved the TCG product to a new in-store location that took me forever to find. However they still have it and get stuff fast. Most notably it was the first local store to have the new Porygon and Gliscor promos for instance ... though TRU got the Gigas promo first.

In Barrie (Ontario) Wal-Mart seems to still be selling Pokemon TCG - though in lesser quantities than before.

I just picked up Porygon-Z and Gliscor promo packs yesterday at a Walmart in PA, so it seems like they're still getting new stock.

In what section of the store, are you guys finding pokemon tcg?
I can not seem to find pokemon tcg in the Walmart stores in my area.

They are almost always kept at one of the front registers...Wal-Mart does not stock that part of the store it is all Vendors that come in and do it. The Wal-Mart I go to has been running really behind on them though they still have them, however the Vendor who once came in several times a week is now only comming once a month. Maybe it is a cutback to save money in the current recession. I am sure maybe this is going on at most department stores. Just keep checking back is probably the best thing to do or ask when the Vendor may come to your local store.

I've never seen Pokemon TCG in the Toy section of a Walmart store.

They're always near the front counter.

Target has them in front AND toy section. Walmart, however, always has them near checkout somewhere.

Maybe the Canadian layout is different, because they are definitely in the toy section in the 6-7 Wal-Marts I've been to in Ontario (none at the checkouts here).

I live in Va and they sill sell them at wal-mart up here! Up beside the gum and other candy!

We have 3 Walmarts in my area, 1 store has taken ALL gaming cards off the shelfs. When I asked the manager, I was told they were taken down, don't know if they will come back, refused to tell me why. The other 2 still sell gaming cards but are very low on stock.
