Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Where are the collectors at?

Yeah, geri seems to have all these images with no explanation.

And yet still tried to go against Mozzs facts haha.
Maybe the guy on that card is geri or one of his close friends or something.

Geri, if you read this, please tell us how and where you came across this picture.

I bet he just asked people for pictures of them, I mean I have had a good amount of people do that, they ask for either scans, pictures and what i hate is when they are like, yeah i have these cards. I mean it is hard to disprove that they don't since they have a picture, but geri is not that bad at least what i know of.

I will message him and see how he got them, I bet he just knew someone who was from japan, I know he does not have them though :nonono:

Yeah, probably the easiest way to get them. I wonder if the guys name is on the card. If we knew that we could try and track him down, ask him about which tournament he got it at, who 1st and 3rd place were etc......
I should get my Japanese friend working on that haha.

Would be nice if we at least found pictures of the 1st and 3rd places even if none of us will ever get them.

yeah definitely they probably have not been seen by anyone, certainly not sold, but i sent geri a message so we should hear back from him soon and i will let you know what he says about the cards.

I know poke-geri is friendly with allot of ebay sellers, if I remember correctly allot of his scans come from promo-sen and Steve-Smason amongst others who were prominent on the scene some time back. Why and how Poke-Geri can claim that No.2 as a 'battle road' card is something I'm unaware of, perhaps it is and the others battle-road cards are the ones like my PSA-10 No.2 trainer with the illustrated kid with a bunch of pokemon in the background, that could also make sense if the masters wanted not just their name but their picture on the cards themselves.

Arrggghhh!!! this is quite frustrating on not knowing these trophy card, please DJ get your Japanese friend to help us also perhaps you can pitch to your friend my book and trophy card idea, see if your friend can bring it to those in charge of Pokemon.

HI

Firstly: I am not sure if the card with Lugia is real. I personally believe so.
I got the pictures from a British dealer. He has sold some of the rarest cards in the past 5 years. But I havent seen that card selling.

Will, you're right. In 2001 they had the other Trophy cards. Perhaps the players of the master division got their pic on it.
I was told that the card is real. But of course I haven't seen the card myself.
The pic with the guy looks really strange.

This is an interesting link:

http://www.pokemon-card.com/event/report/010331.html

It's a report about the 2001 Battle Spring tournament. The logo on the top is the same as the one on the card with Lugia. The Summer Battle Road logo is with Ho-oh:

This makes the card more real I think. There probably is as well a card with Ho-oh. But I'll ask some people I know.

thanks geri that is a lot of help I really appreciate it :thumb:

I think it is real geri, the card is the same exact logo as the competition so i dont think you have to worry about that. Also that is not the only card with someones face in it and you probably wont see them being sold because of the little information known about them.

Anyway thanks a lot man, if someone could translate those pages that would probably be nice too

nice geri can you do the other one as well, oh and if you look closely at the picture at the bottom they are holding the trophy cards, but you cant really make them out

Scott, Will and Geri, I will link those two pages to my friend when I send the card image to see if he can get a clearer translation than google.

Hopefully we'll get some answers about this, I love tracking down info about cards like this.

Also I find it interesting that on one of those pages the logo is Ho-oh and the other is Lugia. Different tournaments perhaps? Lugia one gave the card we have the image of, Ho-oh one gave the one Will remembers seeing.... Maybe.

Geri, did you not get these from me? I put them in my trophy cards article... I'm no dealer  Or did you get these from promo_sen?

I finally got my Pokepark cards. Awesome!!! Who hasn't fallen in love with these cards yet?

I'm also getting another shipment of cards tomorrow. Yay!!!

Doubtful DJ since it doesn't really explain the gengar card, I've heard from Brian that awhile back trophy cards were counterfeited and made up but that it was very rare to do so and thinks what I may have stumbled upon was one of those fake/mock trophy cards that are just as rare as the real ones LOL.

I genuinely hope however that there are still really rare trophy cards out there from the past we haven't come across through ebay, the gym or bulbapedia, I have heard from John, that during the 2000-2003 range their were as he calls them 'onefer' trophy cards that are extremely rare and unique, though not even he knows or even has heard about the cards I saw let alone Brian or Mozz.

The trophy cards I saw could be those 'onefers' John has alluded to me in the past or one of those mock/fake trophy cards mentioned by brian, one thing to point out is that the cards that I saw were non-holographic if memory serves me correctly and while that is unlikely for the cards to be legit it is not improbable after all the battle road cards were non holographic.

I asked Callyfin from collectorviper.com and she said:

"They look like the original/old-style training jumbos that Pokemon Card Lab print (think like the huge ones they print for Pokemon Sunday now when they do card segments but different styling and with energies already attached and stuff highlighted etc). Technically an official card but not an official card, they're used for tutorials. Rather than an actual collectable jumbo. Awesome to see some still around."

I have never seen them around before but at least they seem to be real.

yeah i know those cards, they are kind of high though, I have run into that guy before and his prices are a bit high but he has a solid collection. He has one of the jumbo pikachus as well, those are very difficult to come by

Yeah, just checked.
His prices are weird though.
He has a non-holo POP1 set for about £40 but he has a holo version of Tyranitar EX for £60 when its worth like £5 and the non holo is much rarer.....
