Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Why I/You hate Ash from the anime

I think he should use tauros more.
I also think capturing a eevee and evolving it into something cool would be good too.

But if pokemon writers gonna change things back and forth and not be creative they should at least evolve pikachu and have raichu disobey him like char meleon/izard.

They gotta do something new and creative.
Not just "oh look ho-oh is going to this region so i have to go there too"

masterquest was the last time i paid attention to the series.

At least bring back primeape he kicked major but in battles.

They should give him pokemon id never expect him to have like scyther/pincir/onix random things that could be great if they just pushed it on him.

If they are gonna do stupid things like underated pokemon battles or those stupid contest just to have a script maybe they should start bringing a anime of the pokemon tcg game kinda like yugioh.

Cant belive i just said that but considering whats on the script the last few years maybe a tcg battle might be good.

Worst thing they eva did was get rid of veronica taylor to voice ash.

Also bring back the gs ball in the anime.

/support TCG anime

All the little kids be using LuxChomps and Machamps.

no thats not how it works. all the kids will have weird random cards. only the actual stars of the tcg anime will have good decks. like the kaiba version of yugioh would have all the best cards/decks. and will still use dragons lol.

Ash: I've battled with Pikachua all my life! I've travelled from Kanto, to Johto, to Hoenn and now here Sinnoh. My Pikachu will be very strong!
*some seconds later*
Ash: No Pikachu! Hang in there!
Pikachu : *half-dead* *activates h4x* PIKA!
Ash: Alright!
*some more seconds later*
Pikachu: *faints*
Ash: Oh no, how could we lose!?
Me: lol, Pikachu has beaten the lemon-cake outta loads of things, why isn't his power level OVER 9000 already?

I know, they can't make Pikachu uber-strong, but at the same time, how does a Pikachu manage to lose to ridiculous things like a Magikarp!? A MAGIKARP!?

Edit: Also, it seems the animé is having no story. It's just making stuff up as it goes.

Of course the anime has no story. The video game's storyline isn't its strongest point, and they have to stretch it out between games. That's why the anime goes:

YAY, got a badge!
Useless city
Useless city
Useless city
Contest <3 ! (Useless)
Useless city
Useless city
etc.

On another note, Ash seriously needs to brush up on BASIC TRAINER SKILLS. Like, oh, THROWING POKEBALLS AT WEAKENED POKEMON! Seriously, that kid can't remember to throw a ball for the life of him. At least once every other episode he has the PERFECT opportunity to catch a pokemon, and he just passes it by. It's gotten to the point where the Pokemon has to follow him around until he (finally) remembers, oh hey, I can stuff it in a ball and take it with me!

Also, IIRC since the INDIGO LEAGUE (Krabby and Taurosx30) he's never caught a pokemon once he had 6 with him. Can you imagine trying to finish the video game like that? No wonder it's taking him forever to become a Pokemon Master.

we dont know that because ash is so terrible he never gets past the final tourney, i assume once u win the tourney you get to advance to the elite four then the champion, but we'll never know.

@regis_neo

no point having charizard and infernape(charizard definatly being the better of the two), sceptile over torterra because speed always wins. muk is amazing. people underestimate status conditions in a battle. muk can tank and hit hard, and has really good battling experiance. muk has proven himself to win matches, important ones at that as seen in the first season.

From what I remembered, Muk got lucky by being able to just smoother stuff until he opponent basically suffocated...I was speaking more from game experience, not whatever weird stuff they come up with in the anime. And to that extent, Infernape I think is a lot better than a Muk.

Also agreeing a manga adaptation into an anime would be awesome, it at least has a plot instead of the "visit random towns that don't exist anywhere while lame TR tries to catch Pikachu for the unecessary nth time" theme that the current anime has going on.

Finally, also agreeing it's lame how Pikachu always manages to lose at the start of every new season...I mean seriously, what does Ash do, level it down somehow? Or perhaps he breeds the current Pikachu with something to get a new Lv 1 Pikachu to torture, er I mean tag, along for the season.

While I understand all the reason for not liking Ash, perhaps we are forgetting that the show is their hook into the TCG and the VG. From a marketing standpoint Ash appeals to new or non-players, which is probably their target market for the show.

Just my 2 cents...

It's just getting old and senile destiny

Honestly though, Ash's ideas for being a pokemon trainer have been changing dramatically over the seasons. First it was, "gotta catch 'em all!" so he tried to catch as many as he could, with no real goal other than traveling. Then it was "Must defeat gym leaders and win badges!" So he trained and fought. Now the idea seems like it's just follow dawn and brock around while they do contests and learn things. Gotten way boring XD

ASH has grown into a poke-Player HATER

Ash Oh LOOK! There is an RARE, Wild Pokemon, lets be friends with it....

Team Rocket... Look there is a rare pokemon lets catch it

No, team rocket you cant battle and catch this wild pokemon.... UGH isnt that the point... but ash and CO, Block team rocket from catching the rare and wild pokemon

Poke-Player Haters!

HE NEVER DIES!!
He's been hit by Pikachu's Thundershock enough times to power the world's power stations for months, been burnt by Charizard's Flamethrower enough times to light the world's household's fireplaces in winter, and countless other things... is this guy immortal or something?

Ash has great Pokemon. He could win the Sinnoh league championship, and beat Paul if he would "JUST FREAKING SWITCH TO HIS GOOD POKEMON!!!!!!!!!!!" ASH YOU PUNK! BRING MISTY BACK! PIPLUP MAKES ME WANT TO GO......that's how bad it is. I don't even know yet! Plus Brock did the same thing, he had great Pokemon also til he pulled an ASH! Ash. Switch man.
Also. Hit Puberty or however you spell it!

1. Doesn't evolve enough of his Pokemon
2. Always has 10,000,001 starters
3. Doesn't catch legendaries
4. Goes from sounding like a kid to a 65-year old woman with a frog in her throat
5. Squanders tax dollars
6. Only uses 1 Pokemon at a time (in all the dirty situations he's been in, I would've thrown the whole lot of them just to get the job done quicker)

He also got turned into a stone figure in the first movie, and was declared dead untill Mew cried on him. I guess it was the mew tears that gave him the power of immortality....Oh and in I think the Celebi movie, he went swimming underwater for I swear was like 10 mins. I guess he is also part Magikarp...Thus explaining the mental dysfunction....

Unlike Magikarps though, Ash doesn't (and will never) evolve into something awesome...I think you're demeaning Magikarps here.

Ash is more like a...well...it would be an insult to any Pokemon to compare it to Ash, simply because most of the "bad" ones at least can change and evolve, unlike Ash XD
