Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

WWE: Thoughts on WM29 and the AMAZING Raw the following night!!!!

When was the last time they did a First Blood match? Or how about a Buried Alive match? Or a Casket match? How about the last time somebody was speared through the Titantron or some other piece of major equipment? Rocky can't even use some of his best catch phrases cuz they're rated TV-14 at best. I hate the PG-ification of the WWE, and I HATE that they push talentless hacks like Cena, Ryback, and Sheamus over actually good wrestlers like Jericho, Ziggler, and Bryan. I can understand the Rocky love; even though he can't wrestle worth anything, he is the best promo man this business has ever seen. But the guys I mentioned above are "5 Moves of Doom" guys and can't handle a microphone to save their lives.

Do you remember that one pay per view where jericho won both the wwe and heavyweight and made it into the undisputed.. That was so unpredictable. you know... they should bring back the hard core championship... it's on the line 24/7 ... I remembred when there was one episode where it switched hands thru like 5 people.

Yeah..but since the PG era.. I stopped watching it because it was dull and boring. Even the plot was so boring. I miss that one episode where i scream holy crap because the white guy was cheating on the japanese guy's girl. So the japanese guy got revenge by tying him up and chopping off his thing. Now it just seems fake...

Remember the times when it was the Hardy boys VS Edge and christian VS Jericho and some dude VS the dudley boyz ... Man those TLC matches were epic... i stop watching wwe because it was too PG now..

Dude, thos matches were insane and the fans ate it up. I remember when Edge speared Jeff Hardy off of a ladder or when Shane McMahon did an elbow drop from the top of the Titantron. Those are the jaw dropping, legendary moments that will live forever with the fans that saw them. I want those moments back.

I agree with you 100%. The bloodiest match in recent memory was the Cena/Lesnar match. Well it wasn't really a match but a beatdown. It would've served its purpose had they not made Super Cena win as usual even with that big gash on his forehead. The PG thing annoys me because it seems everyone has to keep it PG except The Rock. Not only does he insult people and call them less than flattering names which I can't type on here and then the WWE does their anti-bullying campaign is hypocritcal. I mean I enjoy The Rock's promos as much as the next guy but the PG era ruins it for me.

Actually I don't think that was a PPV but it was RAW. And yes it was epic and unexpected. They had a chance to do it again with Dolph Ziggler which would have the most shocking thing by far in WWE since Punk's "Pipebomb". There's no chance the Hardcore title will comeback anytime soon sadly because that was entertaining.

That whole Val Venis/Taka Michinoku thing you are talking about was a bit off the deep end for me haha.

I still wanna know how you practice that stuff. Good lord, I mean, I know that was staged, but it's impossible not to feel hurt after something like that...

I'm not sure if they practiced those exact moves but its nuts. And I guarantee you they hurting big time after stunts like that.

Good. He wasn't a good wrestler, and his gimmick made generic politics look intelligent by comparison.

Maybe this'll put Orton in WM? As long as it's not Botchy Mark Henry. Anybody but Botchy Mark Henry. And Sweaty Big Show. I dont want ADR injured by an idiot, and I don't want more Show.

Yeah I saw that. Talk about not being a smart guy. I'm curious as to how WWE is going to react. They are well within their rights to fire him. And if they don't fire him will they still continue his push or let Orton/Jericho into the title picture?

To be fair, Swagger is a good wrestler but they were trying to pull off a second Kurt Angle which was not going to happen. The major issue now is that if they pull Swagger the only other person ADR has been feuding with is Bigshow.

I always enjoy Orton being a heel. They should let Orton become conniving, sneaky, and more opportunistic the next time they turn him heel as it would fit his persona of being a viper or snake.

There is a rumor that WWE management is debating internally whether they should turn Ryback heel. They have been sort of testing the water by making him walk out on the other "top" faces. I just do not see it working unless he improves his mic work; i guess you could make him do things to earn him heel heat but even then you need to be able to get some heat from your mic work.

Well, Big Show is one of WWE's biggest heels, and he's one of the worst mic guys I've ever seen. How does he sell the heel? He consistently beats the snot out of faces, whether he's feuding with them or not.

Oh I agree with you 100%. Orton as a heel works, plain and simple. I think its a terrible idea to turn Ryback heel. He's completely over with the crowd. Right now he needs a decent feud where he doesn't demolish his opponent at every turn. And yes, you can't be a good heel with terrible mic work.

Bigshow actually has decent mic skills. Why he's so over as a heel is because he knows how to work the crowd. if you can do that, you're in good shape.

How about The Miz as a guy that's over as a Heel without any good mic skills? He got over almost completely on personality and swagger. His actual mic work is bad to the point of being painful...

I think Miz's mic skills as a heel were fine. He knew how to be annoying to the crowds. As face it remains to be seen. I agree that Swaggers mic skills are pretty bad.

He would constantly screw up his lines, call people the wrong name in a way that everybody would know was him screwing up, and just generally be bad on the microphone. His saving grace was that his personality was so spectacular that it could (somewhat) make up for his awful speaking abilities.

Oh, and Orton as a Heel would go over about as well as HHH as a Heel. Not very well. They both did too much to save the company, and most wrestling fans know about that, for most wrestling fans to have any heat surrounding them as heels. About the best that either could do at this point would be face-agnostic, meaning that they could go into that grey area where they could challenge both Faces and Heels and never be lumped into one category or another. Punk was that for a long time during the early parts of his title reign, before Vinny Mac decided that he wanted everything to be black and white...

WWF Vs. ECW/WCW.

Nothing will ever come close.

That era was the best of the best. If IMPACT could get their act together and ROH would get more of a presenceon TV then we could potentially have something special but right now its not going to happen.

I have to disagree with you on the Bigshow. IMO Orton as a heel just works. I think he'd be much higher in the pecking order for the main event scene if he was a heel right now. On Smackdown your biggest heels are right now are Swagger and Bigshow. Orton needs to get in on that.

I'm not saying that Heel Orton wouldn't make sense. I just don't see the intelligent WWE fans (i.e. the ones that cheer for Punk) buying into it, for similar reasons that Heel HHH, while making tons and tons of sense, simply wouldn't get over.

It will totally work because there are much less WWE fans that cheer for Punk than the amount that boo him.

"Let's Go Cena" and "CM Punk" are basically equally loud when the two face each other. CM Punk gets louder cheers than Ryback when the two face each other. He gets the loud Booos because he's that damn good on the mic. But could you imagine how popular Punk would be if, instead of being a straight Heel, he was instead Alignment Agnostic? As in, he could face both Heels and Faces and be plausible in both scenarios? That's where he was before he GTS'd Rocky last year. And if Vinny Mac had allowed him to keep that up, he would right now be as big as Hogan used to be. And that's high, high praise.

Well I think if they didn't create this whole Punk/Rock feud he would still be Champ and his match at WM with Undertaker would be way more interestiing than it is right now.
