Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

You know you're addicted to pokemon...

I think something inside of me shriveled up and died when I once saw some kid stuff a Charizard EX into his pocket.

Rescue them!! I traded away a Uxie X from somebody just for this reason...

Only one kid pulled a Flygon Lv. X at our entire combined two leagues for about three months (I was the second one to pull it). He mistreated it horribly.

Um. You know you're addicted to Pokemon when you get all uptight about the correct pronunciation of a Pokemon's name.

You know you're addicted to the TCG when leagues and tournaments consume several consecutive days. (There goes my weekend...)

When you get into a craze and debating whether or not to re-sell all of your cards just to buy a booster case of RR.
OR your Wii *cough*

.....When you use a reference to the Pokemon Anime to solve someones problem....

when you fall asleep playing your ds and you still somehow have managed to defeat the elite four (lvling up and money)and the ds screen is still showing "the end" when you wake up........

When you start shouting at your cat, Pay day! Pay day! Pay day! With a bag ready for the money!

When you get scared of touching a horse incase flames come out of its body.

When you start making a homemade volcano, put an electrode figure at the top and shout, EXPLOSION!

When you start calling the animal cops when you see a Pokemon trainer on Pokemon Yellow witha 'whip' in his hand.

I know I'm addicted. I have to leave my town house by 40 minutes after to catch the bus to make it to class on time. At 33 minutes past I see a celebii for trade on the global trade system and he wants a chimchar...

Freaking out, I disconnect from wireless, and race to the daycare center and throw my Infernape in there. I run up and down the street while watching my laptop's clock. at 36 after I get the egg. I have magmar in my party to decrease the time to hatch by half.

Im racing up and down the street to hatch it and finally it happens at 39 after. Fly to the GTS, hold my DS up as high as I can since it seems to get better connection from the silly router that way. Race into the center, and check for the celebi.

I find it, click trade and my game assures me it is connecting ... until .. "someone has already traded for that pokemon"

I say some not so graceful things, leaving my roommates to wonder what just happened, and sprint all the way to the bus, to get there exactly as its leaving and miss it. >.>

EDIT: you know YOU are addicted to pokemon if the real tragedy of my post was spelling celebii incorrectly :)

You know you're addicted to the PokeGym when you start playing a random song just so you can post in the "what song are you listening to right now?" thread.

You know you're addicted to pokemon when you could theoretically name every single pokemon, the types of each of them, their evolution stage. Similarly, when someone else asks you at what level a pokemon evolves, you answer instantly and then there's a long, awkward pause.

Oh, I know that feeling all to well.=P

You know you're addicted to pokemon when you substitute Pikachu into word problems. (I.E. Jack had 95 Pikachu, this is 2 times greater than half the amount that Joe had. How many Pikachu did Joe have?)

Actually, I call this Asperger's/autism in my case, I have an interesting ability to memorize "useless" information. >>

You know you're addicted when all of your fanfiction ideas somehow lead back to Pokemon. x.x
