ZPS-AKA Black Out

darkeness-Yeah i'm still cunfuzzled over that article :p

Happiny13-agreed, i didn't even laugh..

AzZona/Amt-Amt tbf he has posted a lot of good stuff but i do see ur point :p lol.

i run a lanturn prime for a donphan counter but the yanmega prime dose sound interesting, also running ruins of alph help against a donphan so that your at least hitting for 100 on a donphan instead of 80 drop 2 plus powers and you can ko him

Team Rocket Prodigy-hmmm?

aber9617-Lanturn prime works good as a donphan counter, but I didn't mention b/c Yanmega IMO is just plain better-
Yanmega gives you more room for disruption
Yanmega attacks for free, so you can put your energies on another Zekrom
Yanmega can take a hit from Donphan
Lastly Yanmega is more versatile than Lanturn. Lanturn is still a good card, but IMO not the best counter, also Yanmega having free retreat makes him a nice bench sitter for Circulator etc. so can just switch out and put up zekrom on the next turn.

Uhm.. A flaw in this decklist is Energy Search. I would rather draw an Energy than draw an Energy Search THEN search for the actual Energy. It makes no sense, Energy Search is only used for decks than run multiple types of energy.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. >_<

Still a good article though! 4/5

Ok, just as a self-respecting player who has read all the posts on this thread i feel i need to address a few points.

A: You aren't gonna pull a T-1 Zekrom 80% of the time, that is unrealistic. Horribly Unrealistic
B: You are going to start w/ pachy or shaymin a decent bit of the time. This is inavoidable
C: A good lost zone, Will beat this, I don't know what Lost Zone lists you're playing against =/
D: This deck folds to Donphan, you must accept that. There is no way around it, you plainly lose.
E: Its a thorough article and i like your take on this deck and i'm glad you posted a better list for other players to actually test, but there are waaay too many unrealistic points here that are being shamelessly defended that i felt needed to be addressed. I've tested the best lists for this and its maybe 70-30 at best. And thats cutting it optimistic. If it really pulled a t-1 80% of the time, you'd still lose to anything that happens to have an attacker able to do 90 damage =/ Im failing to see the broken...

Trollololol

A. your wrong a good list can hit a T1 zekrom about 80+% of the time
B. Who cares attach energy and retreat (or play switch if you have it) its still possible to get a T1 zekrom even if you dont start zekrom
C. I dont know that you play but they must just hold their pokemon in their hand for you Trollolloolol
D. Not true actually if you can get a T1 Zekrom and can keep pressure up and play pluspowers and ruins of alphs right along with reversals then you can turn the auto-loss into a possible win
E. Trollollololol

B. Who cares attach energy and retreat (or play switch if you have it) its still possible to get a T1 zekrom even if you dont start zekrom
You CAN'T get zekrom fully powered T1 active If you start with shaymin or Pachirisu and don't start switch.
(or if you start 1x Shaymin/Pachirisu 1x zekrom 1x collector and 4 lightning energy)

tommy's back-this isn't the list that hits 80% of the time, it IS possible, lots of trying weird things but yes you can. yes you will, bout 50%, that would be the reason for switch and the high count of energy, a good LZ deck won't win, it doesn't happen, the last two points, you do still usually lose to donphan w/ yanmega, and that's why it's not a broken deck, it has great t1, but usually fades over the course of a game.

AzZona-thnx again.

Speedy Scizor/AzZona-lol

Rambo-lol, i'm not even playing Zekrom for nats and i wrote the article, don't think that'll happen.

What if you added a lanturn prime instead of yanmega? You can still get hte required energy on it to take out the donphan in one turn? Change it's type to water and wa la... right?

It's not just for Donphan.

It gives a free prize vs any deck that has a baby laying around.

It can soften opponent's attackers for free, while charging up a Zekrom.

It gives free retreat, both for consistent turn ones in the form of Yanma, and late game for safe active placement.

It also gives you a chance against fighting decks, specifically Donphan. Much better than just taking the auto loss.

Ok that makes sence! Thanks!

BTW how do i start a thread or blog?

GDarkNinja-yeah, Ignatious answered that question, also just go the right place for the thread, go to the bottom of the page and click, new thread/post. IDK how to start a blog, although tbh a moderator would be the right person to ask, like evil psyduck or secretsof2113 etc. Mods know that stuff.

ok.... umm... still difficulties. :(

btw with this deck idea, it works wonders starting the game. But playing against a Magneboar where it's a slow starter. kinda screws you up in the long run. Also with the 80% ration, it dosent work 80% of the time. i would put a more 60% at max. I've been playing this idea and i like it, just need another defender in the long run. Especialy when in the Mageboar they play a Rayquaza Deoxy Legend near the end. Yeah kinda sucks when im one card away and rayquaza deoxys come out and take their two last prize cards :(

^
The 80% list isn't this one, you have to cut Yanmega Prime+Judge for more stuff, that's usually the easiest way to do that, and yeah Magboar does that..a lot..

yeah it happend twice when i was at the league. Trying to find a good counter, but when i do they still have a charged up magnezone in the back. ... what a drag :(
