dmtm is having some technical difficulties, so he asked ech to help him out, who very generously offered me the post, and so, without further ado, here is today's aquapolis card of the day!

aw, what a cute azumarril. he's working as a gondolier!

anyways, the dark master apologizes for the delay, and the card of the day will resume tomorrow!

And EXP Alakazam just got some help. No, I am not talking about running it in the deck with Alakazam. Rather, like many decks, Big Fire has just been able to out speed me. It doesn't get an automatic win against such decks, but it is a pain. So the if the Azumarril ends up being good, then it will make my Alakazam deck stronger, since it is not much of a threat to me in and of itself (and I can use its own attack if someone splashes in Resistance). [Wink]

All in all, a welcome card.

Potential? That's an understatement (90 HP for a stage 1 with either no retreat cost or up to 120 HP damage)! I can see a scenario where you either use it or play a water deck to counter it... followed by a ban... Let's hope there are other "baddies" out there in Aquapolis...

I'd really like to see one of those type cubes (some Trainers) or one of the new Special Energies (that you can Psykiss back into a deck with Smoochum).

Azumarill's attack states to ignore resistance. Resistance to water must become big in future sets. My poor Dark Blastoise. That deck doesn't have too much expansion room for i limit the evolutions to "Dark".

Eh, Arcanine isn't that good. It's just a toned down Magcargo with flips and 10 more HP. The power's cool I guess.

The arcanine is actually good. The Azumarril however is a joke.

Eh, certainly some potential there. I'm bored, so I'll match up the two cards:

Azumarill Arcanine
HP (for stage 1): good good
Attack: Fire/Grass tech Ouchies!
Retreat: Meh Combotime! [Big Grin]
Bottom line: 75% 85%

I really like the Arcanine, but it still isn't as good as Magcargo

I don't see either of those cards being useful. Magcargo is still the fire guy to play and Azumarril is average at best.

Poke'Body, Extreme Speed: you pay [White Mana] less to retreat Arcanine for each energy attached to him.
Attack for [White Mana] [White Mana] [White Mana] Fire Blow: You may discard any number of [Red Mana] energy cards attached to Arcanine when you use this attack. If you do, flip a number of coins equal to the number of [Red Mana] Energy cards you discarded. This attack does 30 damage plus 30 more for each heads.

Note to everyone, these cards have the pokemon's measurements just below the picture, unliek the expedition cards.

That's because we're seeing the foil versions. Note the gold "e"

Pokepop is right even in Expedition all Holo Pokemon cards (ones with gold Es) have the nickname, height, and weight (just like the originals). Thought I might clear that up more.

looks like we are getting one color of each, all evolutions, I'd personaly like to see Tyrantar, but- I guess everyone wants to see -fill in the blank- exepect to see meny powers or bodys that reduce the retreat cost (we had 1 in this E set- there are like 4 or so in this next one)
I like the fact that wizards combined 2 sets this time, however reverse foiling the set makes it so hard to compleate!!

--------------------
Erica total 24, thats right, 24.
Dunsprace total 41.
I've gotten 98 on that Machoke at work game. I beat Driving Corasola.
I almost beat the record in Hold Down hip hop. I got 2000 or so in Kinglers day. I got 7 in Rapadash's dash. Butterfree's Flower Power 4700. 123 In Jumping Dodoro. My all foil deck is finished.

Looks like this could be a heavy hitter! You could even attach the Fighting Cube 01 to it. The only thing I think is incorrect is Weakness. Its {G} weakness doesn't look right (same for the {F} Shuckle's {G} weakness and the {G} Shuckle's {R} Weakness; both of those types are combatted in the GB game by the other type's strength). I'd give it a {P} Weakness instead. Otherwise, good card!
