i wouldn't mind an alt art gardy and gallade

does anyone have an attempt at a set list so far because even reprints of good cards would be better than the last op

wouldn't it be nasty to have an alt art gardy x, doubtful but i would love it

there are seven cards listed, as i did not bother to mention that i pulled two ralts. there are no scans as i am exhausted from the flu and sleep-deprivation. besides, would this face lie?

For the curious, 15 out of 17 cards are at the beach (with photos). Yep, it's another set full of reprints, but at least they're somewhat useful this time (Ampharos, Gallade).

Well, sadly every card (according to Pokebeach), in POP 7 has been reprinted.
Some are usueful like Gallade.
And the 3-Per-Pack is a little, weird to me.

It is surprising to see how bad POP sets have become in just 2 series changes. POP5 was great with rare candy and DRE...and POP7 isn't even worth the material needed to print the packages.

You know, I take that back. POP7 isn't bad, but it in no way fills in the gap where competitive players could earn competitive cards that they might need for their decks. Since the POP set is turning into a set of cards directed towards the non-competitive (imho), there should be some other way for competitive players to get their hands on good trainers/special energy.

I do hope the rare "error" is around for this series too.

plebeianprint, 8 cards / 2 per pack = you opened 4 packs, not 3. Is that right?

Since the POP set is turning into a set of cards directed towards the non-competitive (imho),
At my league, even the non-competitive players got tired of POP6 quickly. More like the POP sets are directed at new players and collectors of alternate art. The player rewards system has essentially been gutted of the "rewards" part.

None of the cards are trainers too. That is bad since new players tend to lack trainers, much less good trainers.

I agree, I think that POP Sets, should be exactly what they are suppose to be, Player Rewards. I think that it would be nice instead of having these reprints of cards we just don't to have them be released as promos. Release cards that can be helpful to any decks that are okay to be legal. There are plenty of cards even if they are in the current format that would be good to be in the POP Sets. I mean, I guess I cant complain, it is cool that the sets are "alternate" art cards but I rather have a few exclusive cards even if they arent playable to the POP Sets.

Drew

Come on, where are the people who just say, "It's free so you can't complain?!"

I stopped going to league around the release of POP6, not specifically because of the cards in it, but it still didn't help. I would probably go back to league every now and then for a POP 7 pack, if they were good. I'm not too disappointed though because I didn't even expect much to begin with.

Player Rewards?? It is just a bit too easy to be negative.

If you are a tournament player then you already have lots of trainers. So no 'reward' there.

reprints: Do you want more strong cards reducing the value of the ones you bought? of course not.

other negative stuff... :D

-----------------------------

But maybe all this negativity is missing the point...

Artwork we have not seen in English

The younger league players like packs. I know that the POP6 rare issue was a big thing but from what I see at league the young players really like all these rare cards. It is the star that counts. So a serendipidous error

Even if us groan-ups get cynical. The younger players see the reward.

FWIW I don't accept the arguement that you shouldn't complain because it is free. However to complain about something that is free without looking for the positives is wrong.

Actually, I would like to have the POP sets contain some staple trainers, for the sake of the league kids. After they start getting beat by people with trainers in their decks, they start wanting some.

The ALT Lv.X cards seem destined for the Tins. This makes me buy a Tin or 2.

I am looking for 300 DPI scans of these for the Gallery/Tower. If you can set them up as individual images (not a sheet of scans I have to cut apart) in this format:
http://pokegym.net/forums/faq.php?faq=gallery#faq_setscans
Then please PM me for upload instructions. Its OK if you just have a couple, if you have good quality scans and can do them according to the format.

THIS IS MADNESS!

what are they thinking giving us another stupid reprint stupid pop set.
its stupid
really stupid.

the person who is in charge of deciding what cards we get in these must be off their trolley.

its kinda weird that you opened 4 packs. Each player gets only 3
you mean, it's kinda [del]weird[/del] wrong that he opened ANY...considering that the season hasn't even begun and they haven't been EARNED yet =/

is it really so weird that i opened four packs? is it really so weird that i opened any at all? not a single one of these cards will end up on ebay or sold to anyone. they will end up in my collection and decks.

i bust my butt every week for these kids to the point where i am not presented a chance to play more than a match a week. they all love me and my league. next session i will go in there and tell them/show them the new cards, and they will not care one iota that i opened some packs for myself. i give away prizes like they contain the avian bird flu, all of which comes out of my pocket. last week i gave away two handmade pokemon buttons that i made with my press, 26 rares, 57 uncommons, who knows how many commons, and let the kids play with my personal decks (gallade, honchkrow, mario, fossils, and some other, non-modified legal decks). There were three new kids, so i gave them all (and the kid who brought them) two of the leftover POP 4 packs, and one POP 6 pack.

I was excited and wanted to share the info with other Pokegym fans, so I did, and NOT ONE PERSON HAD A SINGLE PLEASANT THING TO SAY! instead people said where's the proof, it's weird (wrong) that i opened 4 packs, etc. so what did i learn from this experience? take new info like this elsewhere, where people might appreciate it and not simply put both me and the set down with their negativity.

so as to not bog down this thread, anyone who desires to still criticize me/debate my points can do so via personal message.

thanks

Does the P7 Wormadam have the correct errata'd text? The P7 image is a reflection of the SW Wormadam if I remember correctly.
