Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Virginia's State--err Commonwealth Championship 3/14--Photo Link Up

I'm really looking forward to this. I expect to see many SDs today.
I'll be bringing my camera, so you all make sure you bring a smile on your face!

Three folks from my league will be judging and we're sendin' in some players too! Make me proud!

Mr. Tusky, I know you don't want big long lists asking for cards but we REALLY need these or we won't be able to play. :(

If ANYONE has any of the following cards that my brothers and I could borrow tomorrow PLEASE let me know.

2 Palkia G
1 Crobat G
2 Mesprit LA
1 Uxie LA

Make that 2 Uxie, I'll need the Uxie you still have for tomorrow.

Drove down to Manassas.

Got lost (Dumfries road? More like Dumbfries road).

Stopped to ask directions.

Directions took me in a giant circle.

Stopped to ask directions again.

Got directed to an entirely different Fire Department. Told the lady the exact address and everything, and she takes me somewhere completely different. Strong failure.

Drove around for thirty more minutes.

Gave up.

Went home.

U guys liek my report?

OMG... I had SUCH a great time at this.

THE WASHINGTON'S FIRST STATES... WOOT!!

Props:

Angelica w/ the 0-2 start grindin' it up to 3-3 with a deck that she's had for only 2 weeks.

Wife bein' staff :p

my 3-0 start. shoulda dropped and fixed my ENTIRE YEAR in one day w/ that... but...

Newpaper guy interviewing me about Angelica for tommorrow's paper... WOOT!

Getting to play against a VERY good Speedril/Shaymin deck. Even when you lose, you've GOT to appreciate seeing a deck run PERFECTLY.
(good job Miles kid :p )

First match ever vs. JOSH
(Richmond Rules, we get 2nd rollsies and spontaneous proxies "ok...this psychic energy is LA Mesprit")

First match ever vs. drmario (DarthPika's brother)
He was an excellent opponent. Very good spirit of the game.

slops..

ended 3-3 after 3-0 start ... LOL

I've gotta get some Poke-Stamina ...

Good People. Good Times. :)

SuperWooper: my directions from I-66 were pretty straight forward. Then again, I had done more research than usual on the location for people trying to get there.

For your amusement, a real conversation from the VA State Championships:
me: what do you mean you don't know? Didn't you read the e-mails I sent?
Mr. T: No, I ignored them
me:  :frown: [goes to ask Javier]
