It is on topic. We are discussing the variations of Magnerock with different preferences in builds. My preference is to use Machamp as a starter pretty much versus the likes of Spiritomb or any other starter. Realistically, Smeargle sets me up on the first turn VERY CONSISTENTLY if they have a Supporter. It is honestly the BEST starter for Magnezone, which nobody seems to have pointed out yet. And if I don't have Smeargle, I'll probably have a way to get him or a T1 Machamp. Regirock doesn't NEED to be used every turn to have a copious amount of energy in play for Magnezone. In fact, I don't even run 2 Regirock in my build. I only use 1 because 2 is usually overkill on your bench space. I just don't see your deck surviving against anything named SP. Especially not anything that has ANY disruption. If I Judge you first turn with Sableye and you don't really get THE NUTS, then you are doomed. That would be a game over. Fact is, I'd run all over your build's face with any of the following: Luxray GL, Roserade GL, Blaziken FB. Good luck getting unlocked with your 2-3 Warps that you can't search out because you don't run Poke-Drawer. <_<
PS . . . I haven't lost to pure Magnerock with my Luxchomp in 4 matches with it throughout my States run this year. So, agree to disagree, but a good Luxchomp player shats all over it. Utilize Luxray's Bright Look to kill anything not named Magnezone, and snipe the Rocks with Garchomp. Done deal.
