One thing's for sure - the trade forum here on the gym will get quite a bit busier! :)

i've already said this lol, on croftminster

Nidoqueen RG
Pidgeot RG
Dark Tyranitar (the non pokebody one)
Dark Dragonite
Dark Electrode

Rocket's Meowth

Rocket's Admin
Holon Trainers
Rocket's secret machines

Rocket's Persian ex
some sort of Mewtwo ex
Regi exs (possibly new)
Ninetales ex (Possible reprint)

Possible Alakazam line

It's obvious there WOULD be one more set before Nationals/Worlds, and a reprint one at that. In any case, I sincerely doubt DP would come in Mid-Format... it would shake things up for sure lol. But, between now and worlds is a long time not to release a set...and since we're up to date with Japan, what a better way to celebrate than bringing Rock Lock and Queendom back into the format = \

Lousy net-deckers?

ok...

04 Yamoto won with Magma....Definalty not net deck.
05 Jermey won with Queendom..Never thought of before....Definatly didnt net deck.
06 Ness won with Mewtric...Not widely played(atleast i dont think) Definalty not Net Deck..

So uh, where are the lusy net deckers that won worlds?

Queendom and Mewtric were both commonplace around here, and, as for Yamoto and Magma, well, I wasn't around then, and I assume he's japanese and different sets were legal, or, more or less, that people don't net deck from different countries, and thus, none of us would be familer with what's popular in japan, but, i'm just guessing on that one.

Hmmm, I just realized ..... now would be a good time to set up a network of traders willing to trade a box for a box. Lia, you interested?

Headache!!!

I'm still a little confused about this whole fiasco.

From what I read this is a simple breakdown....

Europe will not get DP at the same time as the US.
Europe will get a filler set called Epic Collection.
DP will be legal for worlds.

My questions are as follows....

Will the US get the Epic Colection???
Will this set be legal for worlds???

A few things,

Magma was played in my area during that season. It took 11-14 2nd Place in the Stadium Challenge. That player went on to Top 16 Worlds with it. It was just looked on as a "dumb/lucky" deck at that time.

I personally also dont believe there will be either a D-P or Epic Collection til I see 1 of the 2,

Press Release by PUI/POP or an Official Logo that can be confirmed. I personally think that Epic Collection is gonna be the set that is released in May in both US and everywhere else,
JMO Tho,

Seems logical!

I'm still looking for concrete evidence that the next set in the US will be D/P. Some of our awesome PokeGym members mentioned 'distributors' listing it as the next release. Any details on that, like which distributor? I'm assuming from the commercial sound of the discussion that this is commercial info and not subject to NDA. If I'm mistaken, my apologies & let me know, but if not, any word on who specifically is saying D/P will be the next set in the US?a

Cheers!

epic collection=gardy ex SS!!!

if it's not there, then this epic collection is completely dumn! gardy is the best ex ever made! end of descusion

yep yep! as I said, Between now and Nats/Worlds is a long time not to release a set, and POP wouldn't break D/P on us mid format.

And if they bring back half the cards I think they're bringing back.. may god not inflict LBS on us again :nonono:

lolganium - was that directed at me??

I have been saying since the first DP set was announced that I thought DP wouldnt be coming til after Worlds 07.

bublasnore - I havent heard anything about the next set from mine. The only thing I have heard about are the Spring Tins which supposely have D-P preview cards. I personally think that the POP Rare Holos arent the cards that are gonna be in them. I really do think it is gonna be D-P preview cards. I believe right before Neo came out, we had a few cards that were given out as promo cards to preview the new series.

Just a thought tho,
Drew

Well Drew the picture I found on the distributor website is clearly showing, Ho-oh, Celebi and Tyranitar EX to me.
Meaby Europe get those in the 2007 Spring tins, while the usa gets other promocards, very good possible.

I really hope POP is going to reveal some of their plans/info regarding any upcoming set.
Because if there is any set released start of May it will be a pain for those who have to play their Nationals very shortly after it.

Did anyone even bother to read the first post? It says:

European Nationals will not be carried out with Diamond & Pearl. Qualified players will receive Diamond & Pearl-material in time, in order to playtest. The new rules should also be made availabale in time.

Note the bolded part. Qualified players. This implies DP WILL be legal for Worlds as european Qualified players will recieve DP product to playtest with to be on the level of USA and Japanese Worlds participants.

This information was taken from an official distributor as Glumanda also provided a link. Why would the official LD for Germany not have 100% accurate information regarding this? DP WILL release in May in NA. DP WILL release in August in Europe, but european Worlds classified players will recieve product to compensate for DP not being released yet in that continent so they can be on the same level as worlds participants.

If you actually read the first post and understood it, that is crystal clear to me.

To me too. So I have no idea why so many people in this thread speculate about how the US might not get DP until after Worlds. Obviously, DP for TCG is released at the same time as DP for DS ...
