You think that I've done a dishonorable thing, but I certainly think you've done a disrespectful thing by refusing to work with me after I made a decision about where I'd organize contests. A tournament does not have to be Pokegym-exclusive, and it's interesting how willing you are to hog traffic from an obscure website for the sake of it being Pokegym-exclusive. After receiving sign-ups on said site, I felt like the best way to deal with things would be to make it a co-competition organized by both sites, but you ignored me, and only well after the fact did you actually tell me that it would only be acceptable as an exclusive thing. I extended the olive branch, and got spit at.
I wanted a base of operations for Iron Chef that bypasses the administrative issues of Pokegym (as evidenced by it being half a year late, via Blizzard/staff bureacracy), and bypasses the needless timing things (i.e., "hey guys, let's make this happen on the Gym's anniversary!"). Now, if there's something that's out of context about issues between Blizz and the staff I don't know about, feel free to shoot it to me via PM. But the way I see it is that when I stepped in to fix the contest that you guys derailed, in the way that I thought was best, all I got was a "*gasp* you can't possibly consider giving TWO sites traffic!" response.
But the fact of the matter is that if you really want it to be Pokegym-exclusive, then you can run it yourselves. I'm just as disappointed with you as you appear to be with me - believe me.
Now, to actually be topical: the Iron Chef Tournament of Champions (tentative invite-only event, to be held on a to-be-determined website) will extend an invite to "afstandopleren," DDDDC's winner.
