2007-2008 Modified Format Announced! Major Changes!

When I read this on the Pokemon website I was amazed!

Delta Species and Legend Maker are being rotated out!!!!!!

The following Pokémon TCG sets will be removed from the Modified format for the 2007–2008
tournament season:
EX Deoxys
EX Emerald
EX Unseen Forces
EX Delta Species
EX Legend Maker
EX Trainer Kit 2
POP Series 2 Promo Cards
POP Series 3 Promo Cards
All Black Star Promo Cards numbered 036 and lower

This takes effect on September 1st, 2007. This is after Worlds and does not affect the format for Worlds 2007

As always, I'm surprised. This season I was expecting UF on, and got DX-on.

I was expecting next season to be LM on...and look at what I got! Maybe POP's making up for the overly diverse card pool this season.

I know what you mean.
I felt overwhelmed this season from all the viable decks.
Delta decks could still do well, but I think that they are gonna be hurt the most with the loss of the Holon Engine. So I really don't think they are gonna thrive anymore.

Hey, it makes sense. 4 Rotated sets a season, this just makes up for the gap we had when only 3 were rotated last year.

Delta decks take a big hit with this IMO, more interesting perhaps is a big cut of playable ex's.

OK let's think here.
LM had all those great stadiums and Banette, so what is gonna happen to stadium wars?

Battle Frontier is OK if Catty (PK) gets too popular.
and Crystal Beach is pretty good if you don't play DREs or Scrambles, but IMO a lot of decks rely on DRE's and Scrambles.
