Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2009 - 2010 League Cycle - UXIE AND CLAYDOL

From what it looks like (on the op site) it takes 60 points to get them for the tcg and 80 for the vg. That makes the cards extremly easy to get and should make people happy.

Yea, that'll make lots of people battling everytime.....lets just hope nobody actually scoops just for the points alone.
I mean, yes some battles may run long, but for a time like this, why would you scoop?

Especially when scooping means you are probably not going to be getting any league credit for the game.
I mean there might be exceptions made but I can't of a good reason why off the top of my head. Then again, I've not had my coffee yet.

One more point of clarification; it is no longer "points," it is now "matches."

You get one stamp for each match you play, regardless of whether you win or lose the match. That means it takes 6 TCG matches or 8 VG matches to earn your first set of promos.

That makes me a little sad, I'm gonna play machamp at league. j/k but seriously that is a change for the better. If it was still points people would be done very quickly.

I'm not reading all 10 pages of this, but let me just say that this card structure is very good for the game, and particular League play. It helps make the game more accessible to the more casual player, without hurting what SHOULD be the bulk of the secondary market: Lvl Xs, and promos. Fluke cards such as Claydol and Uxie rising and staying near 20 dollars despite being just rares shouldn't happen. I'm glad to see this system in place.

Just a quick questions has anybody received there order yet? I really want to know how the cards are going to look. If anybody get there order in this week. Please scan a copy so we can see how they look. Thanks
Im hoping to get the order this week. As because the cycle starts this Monday.

I know the feeling, I'm hoping my order comes in tomorrow (as there's rarely anyone home on saturdays). Our league is on sundays and would be kinda cool to have the stuff soon. oh well.

Wait, are we supposed to be getting four of each card each season, or only two?

/asking cuz local LL only gives out two of each.

Four of each. You're supposed to get one Uxie and one Snorlax whenever you reach a Pokeball, but not more than four of each.

Sadly because most of our players haven't signed up on Go-Pokemon. We didn't get enough prize support, so were only getting one Promo for reaching a Pokeball. Which you know what i'll be wanting, Uxie!!. Hopefully we get more prizes next quarter.

Those who have activated their accounts should get priority. Having an activated account basically means that promos were sent for you.

Yes, but to make it fair for everyone including those who haven't signed up online. The Gym Leader is only giving out one of the two to make the prizes last. If he gives out one of each to everyone, he will run out fast. Snorlax isn't a major tech anyway, so it's not a major loss. He's been signing everyone up himself that doesn't have an account and doesn't require a Parental signature.
