Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

2009 Masters World Champion Report!

Hey guys, I had an early night last night so apparently I missed everything.

I have no idea who posted, or what they posted and quite frankly it doesn't really matter. Anyone who comes on here and posts in an attempt to get a rise out of me is going to be very disappointed.

If people don't believe I deserve this title then I'm sorry you feel that way, but please do post so in a respectful and adult manner.

Thanks, Steve

I have next to no idea who you are, but I have to congratulate you, especially for such an interesting deck. When I first heard about the win, I was genuinely surprised to hear that it wasn't an SP variant. Good going!

Since "my crew" and I are probably going to make a shot at ratings this coming season, maybe I'll get to see for myself just how great of a player you are. I look forward to that.

Oh, and nice name for the deck, btw. Somehow I doubt they'll actually put that name on the product, but here's to hoping. :D

o man, I didn't even notice you cut Uxie, way to go, I was so close to cutting it too, IMO Chatot is way better

took some balls, props for doing that, only thing that is a little questinoable IMO is the 3 Bebes, but other than that minor detail what a list, its clear that you put a lot of time into it. Well deserved man.

Steve, enjoy the title.
For me it didn't matter who would become nr1 or nr2.
You both are Champions and nice guys.

grtz Lia

Yeah Mikey, no uxie. I figured Uxie would be more of a gamble than Chatot because power lock is soooo dumb.

I was sitting next to you for the first 3 rounds and thought you'd do just as bad as I did, I noticed you somewhere more up there somewhat later, next time I saw you was on the final table, I was like o_O
I even remember how you explained to your first opponent why you went Chatot>Uxie.

I guess Beedrill was a good choice, tons of Flygon in the Grinder and at the top decks, and this deck just eats Flygon. I just wonder if the Luxray really helped this much? It seems kinda overkill xD
I guess it helps against Palkia Lock which is a really tough matchup otherwise, but can you get the Luxray out fast enough? Especially when you only use 1 NRG Gain. I used a similar SP/Stage 2 Hybrid deck with Luxray to get rid of Palkia but it still was hard to even get it out.

(Not saying your wrong or anything, just the points that I thought were interesting :p)

Anyway congratulations =)

Thanks MK!

Yoshi: Yeah, I thought I was going no where for the first 3 rounds too lol.

Luxray was so good. It just makes for cheap prizes, with 2 or 3 beedrills out instead of 4 I can get prizes. Also, it makes the gengar game a ton easier.

Loving the list Steven. DrillRay is awesome, and you're awesome for taking it all the way. I'm the random guy that asked how many poketurn you played in your list in the pre tournament the day before naties. (i believe you we're playing against luxape at the time). + 1 to all your congrats for taking it home.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the props and thanks Biff. It's always nice to put a face with a name!

Congratulations Stephen.
Really well done man.

And RayBees is such a good deck name that I will probably buy the deck just for that lol.
