Crud that means I can't even go if I win regionals if I went to states and regionals only?

wow, nice of them to tell us now that you need play points...

guess i gotta prepare for next year....sigh...hope vgc is different.

Any confirmation on whether or not you need 10 play points if you win states?

Yes, you need 10 points even if you win states. You can show up and claim your travel stipend regardless but you need to qualify if you want to take advantage of the bye.

It was posted months ago so you had plenty of time to earn the play points.

First mention of needing Play! Points:

September 15th 2011

First mention of the fact that you would need 10 Play! Points for Nats:

November 7th 2011

Wow that really sucks. I was not able to attend any events due to my deployment. I thought winning states would be my saving grace... I guess there is no point to take it serious now...

If you can get to a Regionals, there's still loads of time. All you need is one STP, one Regional, and 2 in combination of league sessions (of which there'll be another I think 3 before Nats) or BRs.

Heck, even if you can't make Regionals, people could still just do an STP, all 3 league sessions (remember, you only need to show up once in each cycle for it to count), and 4 BRs. Not as easy as if you can do a Regional, but it's far from impossible.

Thanks for breaking it down for me Mystery Thing. IDK if Hawaii holds a regionals. I will just have to look into it :D
