Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Beedrill GE. A viable choice for regionals???

Almost no one plays Dusknoir anymore and i would thank the palkia player for sending my azelf to the lost zone

Ok, your right about Palkia, but I think people would consider Dusknior if people are serious about playing Beedrill. It gives non-sp playing players an option to work with.

Guys I am serious.
DarthPika: You're silly.

If I would play against Houndoom G swarm, then I would say good show, good show indeed.

I am also being serious about nobody really playing Dialga G at regionals.

Rogue: This is not a funny hype thread, Beedrill does have good matchups against most decks in the format, and with the right list[i.e. including Buck's/PP] you can pretty much OHKO all of the Pokemon that might be big at regionals. With a list that includes Dusk,Drawer+,Pokedex910is.. it is not that farfetched of an idea.

I apologize if this came across as a joke deck, and I don't ever intend to mislead the Poke Gym community, at least not on purpose.

If you, seriously, wanted to run Beedrill at Regionals, you wouldn't advertise it.

It doesn't make sense that someone as competitive as you would want to REVEAL his deck before the tourney...

This thread is a deceptive distraction

this is true in test playin i have found out the DP dusknoir can hold out good vs SP decks with Warp Points just make sure they have no Power spray i think that Dp Dusknoir is a good card and always has been

I don't think Beedrill decks play with sp's, so they can't powerspray Dusky. Even though sp decks will have that advantage of Powerspray.

LOL sorry man i should of been more clear about my post what i was trying to say was if you play candy in your deck or can fit a 1-1-1 line of dusknoir tech in a deck with BTS it would be great to warp point to opponents dialga with 3 special energy on it and make him send it back to hes deck, meaning Dusknoir is a good tech to play even in a none dusknoir deck

I was thinking the exact same thing.:biggrin:

Grovyle's attack is still better than Twineedle, and he's a stage 1. That's all I'm saying.

Grovyle > Beedrill.

Nobody uses Twineedle Jayson.

The GOAL of Beedrill is to bench as many Beedrill as possible and use the first attack "Band Attack"
which does 30x the number of Beedrill in play FOR ONE ENERGY.

Most of the time, they're able to do 90 damage on T3.

BTS and Rare Candies bring the KO'd ones right back in it again.

BEATING BEEDRILL:

The key to beat this deck is to dead the Claydols (or shut down powers) and bump that BTS away.
Also, any sort of bench minimizer hurts Beedrill badly .. ESPECIALLY Lost Cyclone.

If you want to be annoying (or you need to stall), a devoluter is just downright cute on an Uxie vs. this deck. :biggrin:

Some Beedrill builds use Shaymin X for the extra HP boost. So, Dialga Gx takes care of that.

This deck does have an interesting matchup vs. Dialga G X ... Locking up the PokeRadars is certainly a good thing, but Dialga can't do 10 damage forever.

I went up against a GREAT Beedrill deck at states and lost when I was 3-0 :(

He had 4 SSUs , 1 TSD, 4 NM, 4 BTS , and Rare Candies , Pokedrawers ... AND.. a shaymin X.

I was doing OK until he dropped that Shaymin X. Then, it was WELL out of reach at that point. When you can SSU, rebuild with 1 energy and band attack on the same turn, that's hard to overcome.

So, yes. Beedrill can be a strong deck. But... it needs it's draw. Powerlocking smashes this deck.

Palkia G Xs lost cyclone would be VERY BAD to a full beedrill bench as well.

Warp point puts 3 beedrills and 2 claydols on the bench. They're going to have to LOST ZONE a Beedrill AND a Claydol. RUT ROH!!

Palkia G X is why Beedrill is NOT the play at regionals.
Lost Cyclone alone ensure that you will fall by T5.

Hatter isn't playing in Regionals. It's that simple.

And, if memory serves, Hatter did post his regional deck in advance last year. http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=69081 So that wouldn't be without precedent either.

I apologize for not being Rogue enough and I aplogize for never getting T4 at worlds; as that seems like the only way people would take me seriously. <3

ON TOPIC:
I have tried:
Dusknoir DP- It keeps you in games.. people seemed to have forgetten about it because of the almighty Power Spray, but it is still a great tech regardless.
A list with 4 Wager, that was very fun at the least.
A 1/1/1 Machamp
3 Looker's[which I would recommend]

I will post my list later.

People are forgetting about the true MVP of this deck:
KAKUNA!

Nothing breaks you out of a good deafen lock faster than a nice, hard, Stiffen.

guys...really...how does this deck beat dialga G??? It runs houndoom G, has special metals, power sprays claydol, and just stops you from getting ko's by using poke turn and bronzong G....not to mention the deafen...this would just be a foolish play....good luck.

It's such a cool deck but there are problems, Like the following:

Weakness = Good
Resistence = Bad
Health Points = Average
Retreat Cost = Good
Type = Bad

But this is why the deck is really hard to play :

BENCH ROOM

I mean seriously 4 Beedrill 1 Azelf 1 Claydol which means no: Uxie Shaymin Cherrim Tech

Beedrill Active, 3 Beedrill benched (pray none of your Weedles are prized), Claydol, and the garbage hedgehog.

Or you could tech in the Azelf. Or gambit and decide that hitting 90 for 1 with 150 HP trumps hitting 120 for 1 with 110.

How does this handle the Grovyle Rush Kekeke matchup, though? It would be really hard to overcome a tach Arcanine.

HP Average? Ehm... lol? 110 is absolutely low-end for a stage-2. When I talk about advantages and disadvantages of Porygon-Z, I mention the 120 HP at first place for the bad things. Beedrill has even less.

And type bad? What's that bad with a grass type? It can be boosted by Shaymin, Cherrim and Sceptile (while Sceptile is useless in case of Beedrill). It's not affected by Miasma Valley or Abomasnow, and it heals with Dawn Stadium. Weakness usually is fire which isn't that common in most of the current metagames. No other type has such advantages. I'd personally say grass is one of the best possible type, it just hasn't that many useable Pokémon.

So I'd say:

Health Points = Terrible
Type = Good
