Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Beedrill GE. A viable choice for regionals???

HP Average? Ehm... lol? 110 is absolutely low-end for a stage-2. When I talk about advantages and disadvantages of Porygon-Z, I mention the 120 HP at first place for the bad things. Beedrill has even less.

And type bad? What's that bad with a grass type? It can be boosted by Shaymin, Cherrim and Sceptile (while Sceptile is useless in case of Beedrill). It's not affected by Miasma Valley or Abomasnow, and it heals with Dawn Stadium. Weakness usually is fire which isn't that common in most of the current metagames. No other type has such advantages. I'd personally say grass is one of the best possible type, it just hasn't that many useable Pokémon.

So I'd say:

Health Points = Terrible
Type = Good

The issue faced is the same issue that other really good decks like Grovyle Rush face, which is that as more G decks tech in Houndoom G to deal with the Dialga G matchup, they guard against something that's large in the proven meta and large in the theorymon meta (Dialga and Grovyle Rush, respectively).

Shadow Guard

I see what you mean, it makes alot of sence, I did the type mainly on weakness it the format right now and it was just Rampardos that opened my mind.

Dialga would do nothing but have FUN against Beedrill. Let's face it, Beedrill having to get up without trainers would only equal a loss, since it relies on those trainers to get going as quickly as it does. Without those Great Balls, Quick Balls, or Broken Time Space, Beedrill stumbles at trying to get set up. Now, partner this with the fact that Dialga abuses Power Spray, so, you get your Claydol stopped for a good bit. And, while I'm Deafening you to pure death, I'm setting up a Dialga on the bench (that'd be the smart play, I'd think anyway). No point in trying to set the active up, unless the player feels that he can afford to do so. Furthermore, so what if Dialga doesn't start with the actual Dialga? Yes, it hurts, but if I can manage to pull it out by t2, then there's no real problem.

With enough Deafens, the damage will pile up across the board, not just on the active (<3 HQ). Thus, Dialga has a considerably favorable match-up against Beedrill.

I was gonna ask what happens when you drop the lock, but you got me on HQ. 90 HP Beedrill is pretty easy to take down even if it just swings back. But even to KO whatever's active first and still have a Dialga ready on the bench is a good 5 - 7 turns, that's a lot of breathing room for Beedrill. I don't think the match-up is actually that bad. Like, 40-60.

But then Dialga's type would be the worst because there's nothing out with metal weakness but a few Glaceon and Weaviles. =/

Here's the thing, I've got no real reason TO break that lock. Beedrill will have at least 40 from the HQ, not to mention the damage from Deafen. Beedrill would have a tough match-up because I can just continually Deafen lock you, forcing you to evolve normally (which is a pain for Beedrill to begin with), and not allow you the ability to set up as quickly. Heck, setting up would be considerably hard, considering Beedrill's trainer line has a considerable amount of trainers within it.

I was thinking more like this,
Pokemon:16
4-Weedle
3-Kakuna
4-Beedrill
1-Bidoof DP
1-Azelf
2-Uxie LA
1-Uxie lv.X

Trainers:34
4-Bebe
4-Roseanne
3-Bucks Training
2-Cynthia's Feelings
4-Quick Ball
2-Plus Power
1-Warp Point
4-Candy
3-BTS
3-Night Maintenence
4-Super Scoop Up

Energy:10
6-Grass
4-Multi

Stiffen should be enough to handle deafen lock but if not you can just bidoof them to get out of it and bidoof can get back scoops, plus power, warp point, or any trainer you may need. This list deck focuses more on speed than anything.

I didntr know you wasted speed by taking out a stage one for a basic lv.x!
Especially when your main attacker has free retreat!

Barring LV Max, a basic level X and a stage 1 are identical in terms of game-time speed, however, the level X requires active whereas the stage 1 does not, couple with his 4x Candy and 4x BTS, the Claydol's likely easier to get into play.

If free retreat is the game, then play Palkia X for board control. Shoul come in handy without a good way to get 2 Poke Blower+ out.

I think this deck could be good with pachirisu for weedles and to get rid of energy gain. 3-3 or 4-4 Claydol will get faster beedrills out.

This is a surprising fantastic idea! I never thought about the reasons why Speedril never got big... but the reason was that it couldn't get the Beedrils out fast enough! BTW changes all that. Brilliant.
