Did you pre-order YOUR Wii today?

I got a call from Reggie last night reminding me to pick up my Wii. UNFORTUNATELY, I did not get to answer it and did not find out until my brother told me much later. :( Also, today, Babbage's (the store I pre-ordered from obv) called and asked if I was picking up my Wii tomorrow and informed me they were opening early. AWESOME. :D Can't wait for tomorrow. :3
 
How soon will places have the wii and it is easy to get? I mean like going in mid day and just asking for a wii and they have it in stock. Also what stores would this be at?
If this is not soon when will i be able to call in to like gamestop and they will reserve it for me?

might wanna call around and ask tomorrow. the launch number is rather large--comparatively speaking--so you may Be able to walk in and pick one Up tomorrow. maybe. try places like wal-mart or best buY. placEs that didn't take in-store pre-orders. whiLe pEople like me don't have to Bother wIth This, lazy non-preorderS do. :)

I called and they are still talking about the tickets. Knowing where i live, people will be camping out for all of the wiis. When do you think the huge lines will stop, but they will still have them in stock? Pretty much when is the next shipment arriving?
 
Walmart near me has 28 Wii Consoles
Target near me has 44 Wii Consoles
Best Buy near me has 102 Wii Consoles.

I'm going to best buy at 6:00am and waiting until they open to pick mine up(the walmart line has reached capacity).
 
Nintendo World has a crazy amount of the Wii. My brother is going to pick it up with a lot of stuff to go with it, including the points card.
 
My Walmart had over the limit by 6:30 pm, so I devided to camp out at target, got there at 12:30 and I was fourth in line, by the tme it was 3:45 there were more people than wii's at the store, luckily i was able to get one, it was mighty cold and i've been up all night, and as excited as I am the wii is going to have wait, at least its here, this thing is not going to be kept in the shelves this whole season!
 
I got my Wii and didn't have to camp out...its funny cuz we got there an hour before the store opened and I noticed that there were some tents. Man I just have to say that this system is so amazing, even the Wii Sports game is fun. I also got Zelda after buying my game at 6pm...there were less than 8, but it looks like I didnt really have to worry...see I told you guys.

Thats pretty funny, my wal-mart had alot of people coming in 10 minutes before it went on sale...too bad the line was full by 12:00. It was a long 30 hours. We had lots of different games going on (off the wall, football, ect.), but we also had this one guy who went out of line for 5 hours and then came back and tried to get back into line...in the end, he was denied a wii and then he swung his cane at the manager and some other dude...still, twas a pretty enjoyable weekend.
 
Maybe I missed something, but can someone answer these questions for meh?

1. How come when I go on the forecast channel, it says I have to do a system update for it, so I do the system update, and it says my wii is already up-to-date, but the forecast channel still doesnt work.

2. Same question as number 1, but replace forecast with news.

3. How do I just surf the internet??

4. Why are there 3 pages of blank channels?

5. How do you turn the rumble off?

rumble: go to wii menu and choose controller settings, then turn it off.

I didn't get one, but one of my friends did and I just got through playing wii sports for 3 hours. I've never actually been sore playing video games before.

1. The service is not available yet. It will be launched on December 20th.
2. Same as above except January 27th.
3. You have to download the Opera Web Browser from the Wii Shopping Channel. It is not yet available. Expect it sometime next month or in January.
4. Why not? That's where you're Virtual Console games go among other things (such as additional channels like News, Weather, and Internet). They wanted to be sure you had plenty of room. :D
5. Shortcut: Hit the home button during a game, choose controller settings. I have no idea why you'd want to turn it off though. :\

Isn't it annoying when the thing rumbles after passing the wiimote over every letter on the keyboard? Maybe it saves battery power too XD

Dang so the wii has almost nothing right now, maybe I shouldve waited longer to buy it ;[
It's got 1 good launch game (zelda) and a few good virtual console games.

D: HOW DARE YOU. The Wii had a great launch line up. Wii Sports is awesome. Super Monkey Ball is great. (I need not mention how gawdly Zelda is; though, I seem to be stuck in the water temple after obtaining my clawshot) And that's all I have personally, but Madden, Excite Truck, Rayman, and Trauma Center all look really good.
 
yech, those prices are terrible.

oh, and chris, I hear some babies on Gfaqs complaining the TP's ending is the worst in zelda history. I mean they think it's worse than the CD-i endings.

seems like a pretty hard thing to do to make endings worse than those.
